No. 1189 of 2013 ---------------------------------------- Dated this the 15th day of January, 2013 JUDGMENT The petitioner along with nine other students participated in the 'Drama' competition performed as part of Revenue District Level School Kalolsavom 2012-2013 held at Kozhikode.
2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's team performed extremely well. But the judges who valued the performance awarded only lesser marks; as a result of which, the petitioner's team was not awarded the 1st prize and hence the team is not in a position to participate in the next level, i.e., the State Level. This made the petitioner to approach this Court by filing the writ petition, more so when the appeal stated as preferred by the petitioner has not been considered or adjudicated.
3. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits on instructions that, the appeal preferred by the petitioner was considered and the same was rejected. It is also stated that the credentials of the petitioner's team were W.P.C. No. 1189 of 2013 -2- properly valued by the judges. The appeal preferred therefrom was considered by the Appellate Committee, who found no merits or bonafides in the appeal. It is also brought to the notice of this Court that, the petitioner's team secured only '198' marks; whereas the team who won the 1st prize got '242' marks; thus pushing down the petitioner's team to the 9th place. After hearing, this Court finds that, none of the grounds raised in the writ petition is tenable. Interference is declined and the writ petition is dismissed. P.R. RAMACHANDRA MENON, JUDGE. Kp/-
