.....TAX ON PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS & EMPLOYMENTS ACT, 2011 THE JHARKHAND TAX ON PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS & EMPLOYMENTS ACT, 2011 [Act No. 2 of 2012] [21st January, 2012] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the law of tax on professions, trades, callings and employments in the State of Jharkhand. WHEREAS, it is expedient to create a fund for the purpose of the benefit of the State towards welfare of the schedule tribes, schedule castes and weaker section of the State and as such to provide for the levy of tax on professions, trades, callings and employments; BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Jharkhand, in the Sixty Two year of the Republic of India as follows:- Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Jharkhand Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 2011. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Jharkhand. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
