..... (3) The Distress Signal shall precede the Distress Call and Message. (4) The use of the distress signal in any one of the ways specified in sub-rule (2) except for the purpose mentioned in sub-rule (1), or the use of any signal which is likely to be confused with the distress signal in one of the ways referred to in sub-rule (2) is prohibited. Note. Vessels in distress may use the radiotelegraph alarm signal or the radiotelephone alarm signal to secure attention to distress calls and messages. The radiotelegraph alarm signal, which is designed to actuate the radiotelegraph auto alarms or vessels so fitted, consists of a series of twelve dashes, sent in one minute, the duration of each dash being 4 seconds, and the duration of the interval between 2 consecutive dashes being one second. The radiotelephone alarm signal consists of 2 tones transmitted alternately over periods of from 30 seconds to one minute. Rule 5 Revocation of Distress Signal If, after sending out any distress signal by means of radio, the Master of the vessel which controlled the distress traffic subsequently finds that assistance is no longer required, he shall immediately send out a message notifying.....

Title: Restriction on Unbudgeted Expenditure

(1) Save where in the opinion of the Board circumstances of extreme urgency have arisen, no sum exceeding1[one lakh of rupees] on account of recurring expenditure or exceeding1[five lakhs of rupees] on account of non-recurring expenditure shall be expended by the Board in any year of account unless such sum has been included in a statement submitted under sub-section (1) or sub-section (5) of section 17. (2) Where any such sum is expended under circumstances of extreme urgency, a report thereon indicating the source from which it is proposed to meet the expenditure shall be made so soon as practicable to the State Government. _________________________ 1. SCHEDULE [See sections 28(2) and 30] Amendments to the Land Acquisition (Act, 1894) 1. Amendment of Section 23 of Act I of 1894.-- For section 23 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, the following shall be substituted, namely :- "23. Matters to be considered in determining compensation.-- In determining the amount of compensation to be awarded for the land or any interest therein acquired under this Act, the following matters shall be taken into consideration:-- (1) the market value at the date of the publication of the declaration under section 15 of the1[Karnataka Highways Act, 1964; (2) the use to which the land was put at the date of such declaration; (3) the damage sustained by the person interested by reasons of the taking of any standing crops or trees which may be on the land at the time when the possession was taken from him; (4) the damage (if any) sustained by the person interested at the time of the possession being taken from him by reason of severing such land from his other land; (5) the damage (if any) sustained by the person interested at the time of the possession being taken from him of the land by reason of the acquisition injuriously.....

Seven clear days' notice of an ordinary general meeting, and three clear days' notice, or in case of great urgency, notice of such shorter period as is reasonable, of a special general meeting, specifying the time and place at which such meeting is to be held and the business to be transacted threat, shall be given by the chief officer or the municipal commissioner to the councillors, and posted up at the municipal office. The said notice shall include any motion or proposition which a councillor shall have given written notice, not less than ten days previous to the meeting, of his intention to bring forward thereat and, in the case of a special general meeting any motion or proposition mentioned in any written request made for such meeting: Provided that the motion or proposition in respect of which notice is given shall relate to matters connected with the municipal administration and shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act.

.....Government in this behalf against stocks of food grains or other foodstuffs held by it for the purpose of carrying out its functions under the Act. The provisions of the Act do not permit a Food Corporation borrow funds from other sources or to issue and sell bonds or debentures. 2. The Food Corporations do not generate any internal resources. They require funds both for working capital requirements as well as for investment purposes. At present, the funds are being provided by only the Government and the banking section. It is proposed to diversify the sources of financing. 3. It is, therefore proposed to amend section 27of the Food Corporations. Act, 1964 (37 of 1964) to enable a Food Corporation to raise funds, as and when required, for its operational as well as investment requirements by the issue of bonds and debentures and also by borrowings from the Central and State Government institutions or public sector enterprises or bodies or from public or corporate sector, on such terms, and conditions as may be approved by the Central Government. 4.
