.....EQUIPMENT OF ALL KINDS NOTES 1. This Chapter does not cover: (a) railway or tramway sleepers of wood or of concrete, or concrete guide-track sections for hovertrains (heading 4406 or 6810); (b) railway or tramway track construction material of iron or steel of heading 7302; or (c) electrical signalling, safety or traffic control equipment of heading 8530. 2. Heading 8607 applies, inter alia, to: (a) axles, wheels, wheel sets (running gear), metal tyres, hoops and hubs and other parts of wheels; (b) frames, under frames, bogies and bissel-bogies; (c) axle boxes, brake gear; (d) buffers for rolling-sk; hooks and other coupling gear and corridor connections; (e) coachwork. 3. Subject to the provisions of Note 1 above, heading 8608 applies, inter alia, to : (a) assembled track, turntables, platform buffers, loading gauges; (b) semaphores, mechanical signal discs, level crossing control gear, signal and point controls and other mechanical (including electro-mechanical) signalling, safety or traffic control equipment, whether or not fitted for electric lighting, for railways, tramways, roads, inland waterways, parking facilities, port installations or.....

ELECTRICITY ACT, 2003 ELECTRICITY ACT, 2003 An Act to consolidate the laws relating to generation, transmission, distribution, trading and use of electricity and generally for taking measures conducive to development of electricity industry, promoting competition therein, protecting interest of consumers and supply of electricity to all areas, rationalisation of electricity tariff, ensuring transparent policies regarding subsidies, promotion of efficient and environmentally benign policies, constitution of Central Electricity Authority, Regulatory Commissions and establishment of Appellate Tribunal and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. .....the generation, transmission, distribution, supply or use of electricity, or (b) as to the manner in, and extent to, which the provisions of this Act or rules and regulations made thereunder or of any licence, so far as those provisions affect the safety of any person, have been complied with. SECTION XVII VEHICLES, AIRCRAFT, VESSELS AND ASSOCIATED TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT NOTES 1. This Section does not cover articles of heading 9501, 9503 or 9508 or bobsleighs, toboggans and the like of heading 9506. 2. The expressions "parts" and "parts and accessories" do not apply to the following articles, whether or not they are identifiable as for the goods of this Section: (a) joints, washers or the like of any material (classified according to their constituent material or in heading 8484) or other articles of vulcanised rubber other than hard rubber (heading 4016); (b) parts of general use, as defined in Note 2 to Section XV, of base metal (Section XV), or similar goods of plastics (Chapter 39); (c) articles of Chapter 82 (tools); (d) articles of heading 8306; (e) machines or apparatus of headings 8401 to 8479, or parts thereof; articles of heading 8481 or 8482 or, provided they constitute integral parts of engines or motors, articles of heading 8483; (f) electrical machinery or equipment (Chapter 85); (g) articles of Chapter 90; (h) articles of Chapter 91; (ij) arms (Chapter 93); (k) lamps or lighting fittings of heading 9405; or (l) brushes of a kind.....

(d) vegetables, prepared or preserved, of heading 2001, 2004 or 2005; (e) pharmaceutical products (Chapter 30); or (f) starches having the character of perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations (Chapter 33), 2.(A) Products from the milling of the cereals listed in the table below fall in this Chapter if they have, by weight on the dry product : (a) a starch content (determined by the modified Ewers polarimetric method) exceeding that indicated in column (2); and (b) an ash content (after deduction of any added minerals) not exceeding that indicated in column (3). Otherwise, they fall in heading 2302. However, germ of cereals, whole, rolled, flaked or ground, is always classified in heading 1104. (B) Products falling in this Chapter under the above provisions shall be classified in heading 1101 or 1102 if the percentage passing through a woven metal wire cloth sieve with the aperture indicated in column (4) or (5) is not less, by weight, than that shown against the cereal concerned. In section 9 of the Income-tax Act, in sub-section (1), in clause (i), the existing Explanation shall be numbered as Explanation I thereof and after Explanation I as so numbered, the following Explanations shall be inserted with effect from the 1st day of April, 2004, namely:-- 'Explanation 2.--For the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that "business connection" shall include any business activity carried out through a person who, acting on behalf of the non-resident,-- (a) has and habitually exercises in India, an authority to conclude contracts on behalf of the non-resident, unless his activities are limited to the purchase of goods or merchandise for the non-resident; or (b) has no such authority, but habitually maintains in India a stock of goods or merchandise from which he regularly delivers goods or merchandise on behalf of the non-resident; or (c) habitually secures orders in India, mainly or wholly for the non-resident or for that non-resident and other non-residents controlling, controlled by, or subject to the same common control, as that non-resident: Provided that such business connection shall not include any business activity carried out through a.....

Title: Protection of Railways, Highways, Airports and Canals, Docks, Wharfs and Piers

No person shall, in the generation, transmission, distribution, supply or use of electricity, in any way injure any railway, highway, airports, tramway, canal or water-way or any dock, wharf or pier vested in or controlled by a local authority, or obstruct or interfere with the traffic on any railway, airway, tramway, canal or water-way.
