THE MOTOR VEHICLES (PONDICHERRY AMENDMENT) ACT, 1966 (Act No. 16 of 1966) 13-1-1967 AN ACT to further amend the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 in its application to the Union territory of Pondicherry. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Pondicherry In the Seventeenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act maybe called the Motor Vehicles (Pondicherry Amendment) Act, 1966. (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. Amendment of section 48 (Central Act IV of 1939)- In section 48 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 (Central Act IV of 1939) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act),-- (i) sub-section (2) shall be omitted; (ii) in sub-section (3)- (a) clause (i) shall be renumbered as clause (i-a) and before that clause as so.....
