The Rajasthan Electricity (Duty) Act, 1962 Complete Act

.....For the purposes of this section "municipal area" means the municipal area as defined in clause (XXXIX) of section 2 of the Rajasthan municipalities act 2009(act no. 18 of 2009) 4. Consumers to pay electricity duty." The amount of electricity duty levied u/s 3 on the energy consumed by a consumer shall be payable by, and be collected and recovered from, the consumer in the manner hereinafter provided. 5. Collection of electricity duty." (1) The electricity duty shall be collected from the consumer and paid to the State Government by the supplier : Provided that, where the amount of electricity duty collected by the supplier from the consumer is not paid to the State Government within the prescribed period, the supplier shall be liable to pay interest at the rate of 12.5% per annum on the amount of electricity duty remaining so unpaid until the payment thereof is made. (2) The duty and the interest, if any, so payable shall be a first charge on the amount recoverable by the supplier for the energy supplied by him and shall be a debt due by him to the State Government, (3) Where any consumer fails or neglects to pay, within the prescribed time and in the prescribed.....

Emergency Risks (Goods) Insurance Act, 1971 Complete Act

Title: Prohibition of Other Measures for Maintaining Re-sale Prices

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 Chapter V

Title: Delayed Payments to Micro and Small Enterprises

(2) On receipt of a reference under sub-section (1), theCouncil shall either itself conduct conciliation in the matter or seek theassistance of any institution or centre providing alternate dispute resolutionservices by making a reference to such an institution or centre, for conductingconciliation and the provisions of sections 65 to 81 of the Arbitration andConciliation Act, 1996(26 of 1996) shall apply to such a dispute as if theconciliation was initiated under Part III of that Act. (3) Where the conciliation initiated under sub-section (2) isnot successful and stands terminated without any settlement between the parties,the Council shall either itself take up the dispute for arbitration or refer toit any.....

Electricity (Amendment) Act, 2007 Section 13

In section 135 of the principal Act,-- (A) for sub-section (1), the following sub-sections shall be substituted, namely:-- "(1) Whoever, dishonestly,-- (a) taps, makes or causes to be made any connection with overhead, underground or under water lines or cables, or service wires, or service facilities of a licensee or supplier, as the case may be; or (b) tampers a meter, installs or uses a tampered meter, current reversing transformer, loop connection or any other device or method which interferes with accurate or proper registration, calibration or metering of electric current or otherwise results in a manner whereby electricity is stolen or wasted; or (c) damages or destroys an electric meter, apparatus, equipment, or wire or causes or allows any of them to be so damaged or destroyed as to interfere with the proper or accurate metering of electricity; or (d) uses electricity through a tampered meter; or (e) uses electricity for the purpose other than for which the usage of electricity was authorised, so as to abstract or consume or use electricity shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine or with both: .....
