THE KERALA REVENUE RECOVERY ACT, 1968 [1] THE KERALA REVENUE RECOVERY ACT, 1968 [1] (ACT 15 Of 1968) An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the recovery of arrears of public revenue in the State of Kerala Preamble.- WHEREAS it is expedient to consolidate and amend the laws relating to the recovery of arrears of public revenue in the State of Kerala ; BE it enacted in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows : - CHAPTER I Preliminary 1. Short title, extent and commencement .- (1) This Act may be called the Kerala Revenue Recovery Act, 1968. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala . (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint. 2. INSECTICIDES ACT, 1968 INSECTICIDES ACT, 1968 46 of 1968 2nd September, 1968 An Act to regulate the import, manufacture, sale, transport, distribution and use of insecticides with a view to prevent risk to human beings or animals, and for matters connected therewith Be it enacted by Parliament in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows: SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Insecticides Act, 1968. THE MAHE LAND REFORMS ACT, 1968 (Act No.1 of 1968) 22nd March, 1968 AN ACT To enact a comprehensive legislation relating to land reforms in Mahe region of the Union Territory of Pondicherry. WHEREAS it is expedient to enact a comprehensive legislation relating to land reforms in the Mahe region of the Union territory of Pondicherry; BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Pondicherry in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY Short title, extent and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Mahe Land Reforms Act, 1968. (2) It extends to the whole of Mahe region of the Union territory of Pondicherry. (1) The appropriate Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish in any State or Union territory an Agricultural Credit Corporation under such name as may be specified in the notification; Provided that no such Corporation shall be established in any State or Union territory other than the States of Assam, Bihar, Orissa, Rajasthan and West Bengal and the Union territories of Manipur and Tripura, except with the previous approval of the Central Government and no such approval shall be given by the Central Government except after consultation with the Reserve Bank. (2) The Corporation established under this Act shall be a body corporate by the name specified in the notification referred to in sub-section (1), having perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property, and to contract, and may by that name sue or be sued.
