National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007 Section 4

Title: Incorporation of Institutes

State: Central

Year: 2007

(1) Each of the Institutes mentioned in column (5) of the Schedule shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal and shall, by its name, sue and be sued. (2) The body corporate constituting each of the said Institutes shall consist of a Chairperson, a Director and other members of the Board for the time being of the Institute.

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act 2007 Section 3

Title: Establishment of University

(1) There shall be established, in the State of Madhya Pradesh, a University by the name of "Indira Gandhi National Tribal University". (2) The headquarters of the University shall be at Amarkantak. (3) The University shall have such number of Regional Centres and Campuses in the tribal areas as the University may deem fit. (4) The first Chancellor, the first Vice-Chancellor and the first members of the Court, the Executive Council and the Academic Council, and all such persons who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of "Indira Gandhi National Tribal University". (5) The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal, and shall sue and be sued by the said name.

Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act 2007 Section 24

Title: Establishment and Incorporation of Authority

(1) With effect from such date as the Central Government may, by notification, specify in this behalf, there shall be constituted an authority to be called the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority to exercise the powers conferred on, and to perform the functions assigned to it by or under this Act. (2) The Authority shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid having perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract and shall, by the said name, sue or be sued. (3) The head office of the Authority shall be at New Delhi and the Authority may, with the previous approval of the Central Government, establish offices at other places in India.

Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act 2007 Chapter V

Title: The Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority

(2) The terms and conditions of service of officers and other employees of the Authority appointed under sub-section (1) shall be governed by regulations made under this Act. Section 34 - Warehousing Advisory Committee (1) The Authority may, by notification, constitute a Committee to be known as the Warehousing Advisory Committee to advise the Authority on matters relating to the making of regulations under section 51 and make recommendations for effective implementation of the provisions of this Act. (2) The Warehousing Advisory Committee shall consist of not more than fifteen members excluding the members of the Authority to represent the interests of commerce, industry, engineering, agriculture, consumers, organisations engaged in warehousing, quality control, preservation and research bodies. (3) Without prejudice to the provisions of sub-section (1), the Warehousing Advisory Committee may advise the Authority on such other matters as may be referred to it by the Authority.

National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007 Chapter II

Title: The Institutes

.....have the power to appoint such committees, as it considers necessary for the exercise of its powers and the performance of its duties under this Act. Section 14 - Senate The Senate of every Institute shall consist of the following persons, namely:-- (a) the Director, ex officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Senate; (b) the Deputy Director, ex officio; (c) the Professors appointed or recognised as such by the Institute for the purpose of imparting instructions in the Institute; (d) three persons, one of whom shall be a woman, not being employees of the Institute, to be nominated by the Chairperson in consultation with the Director, from amongst educationists of repute, one each from the field of science, engineering and humanities; and (e) such other members of the staff as may be laid down in the Statutes. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Act 2007 Chapter II

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 Complete Act

(10) Where, the Executive Council or the management, does not, within a reasonable time, take action to the satisfaction of the Visitor, the Visitor may, after considering any explanation furnished or representation made by the Executive Council or the management, issue such directions as he may think fit and the Executive Council or the management, as the case may be, shall comply with such directions. Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007 Complete Act

.....for any loss, destruction, damage or deterioration of the goods delivered to him for storage attributable to circumstances such as force majeure, act of war, act of public enemies and the like.
