Section 13 - Omission of section 20 Section 20 of the principal Act shall be omitted. Section 14 - Amendment of section 29 In section 29 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1), for the words "any contravention of the provisions of this Act, rules or regulations made thereunder", the words "any contravention of the provisions of this Chapter" shall be substituted. Section 15 - Amendment of section 30 In section 30 of the principal Act,-- (i) in clause (c), after the word "assured", the word "and" shall be omitted; (ii) after clause (c), the following.....

.....shall be inserted; (c) after clause (h), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-- "(i) destroys, deletes or alters any information residing in a computer resource or diminishes its value or utility or affects it injuriously by any means; (j) steal, conceals, destroys or alters or causes any person to steal, conceal, destroy or alter any computer source code used for a computer resource with an intention to cause damage;"; (d) for the portion begining with the words "he shall be liable to pay damages" and ending with the words "persons so affected" the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "he shall be liable to pay damages by way of compensation to the person so affected"; (e) in the Explanation, after clause (iv), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-- '(v) "computer source code" means the listing of programmes, computer commands, design and layout and programme analysis of computer resource in any form.".
