The Meghalaya Appropriation (No. I) Act, 1979 Complete Act

.....in the Gazette of Meghalaya, Extraordinary issue, dated the 31st January, 1979) An Act further to amend the Contingency Fund of Meghalaya Act,1972. Be it enacted by the Legislature of Meghalaya in the Twenty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Contingency Fund of Meghalaya (Amendment) Act, 1979. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 22nd day of September, 1978. Amendment of Section 2 of Meghalaya Act 5 of 1972. 2. In Section 2 of the Contingency Fund of Meghalaya Act,1972 for the words "sum of rupees fifty lakhs" the words "a sum of rupees one crore and fifty lakhs" shall be substituted. [Explanation:- The aforesaid sum of rupees one crore and fifty lakhs includes the sum of rupees twenty-five lakhs paid to the Contingency Fund of Meghalaya under the Contingency Fund of Meghalaya (Augmentation of Corpus) Act, 1974 (10 of 1974)]. Repeal of Ordinance 6 of 1978. 3. The Contingency Fund of Meghalaya (Amendment) Ordinance, 1978 is hereby repealed. (h) "recruitment" includes entering into any agreement or other arrangement for recruitment and all its grammatical variations and cognate expressions shall be construed accordingly; (i) "wages" shall have the meaning assigned to it in clause (vi) of section 2 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936;- (j) "workman" means any person employed in or in connection with the work of any establishment to do any skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled, manual, supervisory, technical or clerical work for hire or reward whether the terms of employment be express or implied, but does not include any such person - (i) who is employed mainly in a managerial or administrative capacity: or (ii) who, being employed in a supervisory capacity, draws wages.....

THE ORISSA CATTLE & POULTRY FEED (REGULATION) ACT, 1979 THE ORISSA CATTLE AND POULTRY FEED (REGULATION) ACT, 1979 [Act No. 10 of 1979] [Came into force with effect from the 31st November 1979 (vide Forest and Animal Husbandry Department Notification No. 12998, dated 21-7-1981).] [03rd April 1979] PREAMBLE An Act to Provide for the Regulation of Production and Quality of Cattle and Poultry Feed in the State of Orissa BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Cattle and Poultry Feed (Regulation) Act, 1979. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Orissa (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint in that behalf. Section 2 - Definitions In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Form" means a form specified in Schedule II; (b) "licensee" means a person to whom a license has been granted for manufacturing or processing pre-mixed cattle feed or pre-mixed poultry feed; (c) "licensing authority" means the person appointed by the State Government.....

Karnataka Tax on Entry of Goods Act, 1979 Chapter VI

.....of tax under this Act, check posts or barriers or both, as the case may be established or erected under the provisions of the Karnataka Sales Tax Act, 1957 (Karnataka Act 25 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the "Sales Tax Act") shall be recognised for the purposes of this Act. (2) The owner or person in charge of a goods vehicle carrying any of the 2 [goods] shall carry with him the documents prescribed for the purpose of sub-section (2) of section 28A of the Sales Tax Act and produce and give a copy of the same in the manner and to the officer prescribed in the said section. 3 [(2A) Where the owner or persons incharge of the goods vehicle carrying any goods is not required to carry the documents prescribed for the purpose of sub-section (2) of section 28A of the Karnataka Sales Tax Act, 1957, he shall give a declaration in the prescribed form to the officer prescribed in the said section.] (3) The officer referred to in sub-section (4) of section 28A of the Sales Tax Act may, in cases of the type and in the circumstances mentioned in the said sub-section levy penalty not exceeding double the amount of tax leviable under this Act in respect of the 4 [goods] under.....

Karnataka Tax on Entry of Goods Act, 1979 Section 18B

Title: Transit of Goods by Road Through the State and Issue of Transit Pass

THE TRIPURA AGRICULTURAL INDEBTEDNESS RELIEF ACT, 1979 THE TRIPURA AGRICULTURAL INDEBTEDNESS RELIEF ACT, 1979 An Act to provide relief indebtedness to agricultural labourers, rural artisans and small farmers in the State of Tripura and for matters connected therewith. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Tripura in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-- CHAPTER I Preliminaries. Short title and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Tripura Agricultural Indebtedness Relief Act, 1979. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the thirty-first day of March, 1979. Definitions. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:- (a) "agriculture" with its grammatical variations and cognate expressions includes,- (i) horticulture ; (ii) the raising of crops (including plantation crops), grass or garden produce ; (iii) dairy farming ; (iv) poultry farming ; (v) breeding of livestock and bees ; (vi) grazing ; but does not include the cutting of wood only ; (b) "Civil Court" means a civil court within the meaning of the Tripura (Courts) Order, 1950, and includes Nyaya Panchayat established.....
