.....also to contain corruption and to hold Governments and their instrumentalities accountable to the governed; AND WHEREAS revelation of information in actual practice is likely to conflict with other public interests including efficient operations of the Governments, optimum use of limited fiscal resources and the preservation of confidentiality of sensitive information; AND WHEREAS it is necessary to harmonise these conflicting interests while preserving the paramountancy of the democratic ideal; NOW, THEREFORE, it is expedient to provide for furnishing certain information to citizens who desire to have it. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Right to Information Act, 2005. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) The provisions of sub-section (1) of sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 5, sections 12, 13, 15, 16, 24, 27 and 28 shall come into force at once, and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force on the one hundred and twentieth day of its enactment.";.....

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (Microinsurance) Regulation, 2005 Complete Act

.....Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999) or in any Rules or Regulations made there under shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in those Acts or Rules or Regulations. Regulation 3 Tie-up between life insurer and non-life insurer (1) An insurer carrying on life insurance business may offer life micro-insurance products as also general micro-insurance products, as provided herein. Provided that where an insurer carrying on life insurance business offers any general micro-insurance product, he shall have a tie-up with an insurer carrying on general insurance business for this purpose, and subject to the provisions of Sec. 64-VB of the Act, the premium attributable to the general micro insurance product may be collected from the prospect (proposer) by the insurer carrying on life insurance business, either directly or through any of the distributing entities of micro-insurance products as specified in Regulation 4, and made over to the insurer carrying on life insurance business. Provided further that in the event of any claim in regard to general micro-insurance products, the insurer carrying on life insurance business or the distributing entities of micro-insurance.....

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Act, 2005 Section 3

(3) As soon as may be after the commencement of this Act, the President, after consultation with the Election Commission, shall, by order, determine-- (a) the constituencies into which the State of Andhra Pradesh shall be divided for the purpose of elections to the said Council under each of the sub-clauses (a), (b) and (c) of clause (3) of article 171; (b) the extent of each constituency; and (c) the number of seats to be allotted to each constituency. (4) As soon as may be after such determination, steps shall be taken to constitute the said Council in accordance with the provisions of this Act, the Representation of the People Act, 1950(43 of 1950) and the Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951).

.....namely:- "(d) an eligible transaction in respect of trading in derivatives referred to in clause (aa) of section 2 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956(42 of 1956) carried out in a recognised stock exchange;"; (B) after the proviso, the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely:- 'Explanation.-For the purposes of this clause, the expressions-- (i) "eligible transaction" means any transaction,- (A) carried out electronically on screen-based systems through a stock broker or sub-broker or such other intermediary registered under section 12 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992(15 of 1992) in accordance with the provisions of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956(42 of 1956) or the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 or the Depositories Act, 1996(22 of 1996) and the rules, regulations or bye-laws made or directions issued under those Acts or by banks or mutual funds on a recognised stock exchange; and (B) which is supported by a time stamped contract note issued by such stock broker or sub-broker or such other intermediary to every client indicating in the contract note the unique client identity.....

Ordinances, how made.-- (1) The first Ordinances made under sub-section (2) of section 31 may be amended, repealed or added to at any time by the Executive Council in the manner specified in the following sub-sections. .....the value of fringe benefits shall be the aggregate of the following, namely:- (a) cost at which the benefits referred to in clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 115WB, is provided by the employer to the general public as reduced by the amount, if any, paid by, or recovered from, his employee or employees: Provided that in a case where the expenses of the nature referred to in clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 115WB are included in any other clause of sub-section (2) of the said section, the total expenses included under such other clause shall be reduced by the amount of expenditure referred to in the said clause (b) for computing the value of fringe benefit. (b) actual amount of contribution referred to in clause (c) of subsection (1) of section 115WB; (c) twenty per cent. of the expenses referred to in clauses (A) to (K) of sub-section (2) of section 115WB; (d) fifty per cent. of the expenses referred to in clauses (L) to (P) of sub-section (2) of section 115WB. .....service or office held by such person under the Government of the Union or of a State, his salary in respect of service as Chairperson shall be reduced by the amount of that pension. Explanation.--For the purposes of this sub-section, "vacation" shall have the meaning assigned to it in the Supreme Court Judges (Conditions of Service) Act, 1958(41 of 1958). (2) A Member shall draw salary of a High Court Judge and other allowances and the terms and conditions of his service shall be the same as applicable to a Secretary to the Government of India: Provided that if a person who, immediately before the date of assuming the office as Member was in receipt of, or being eligible so to do, had elected to draw, a pension in respect of any previous service held by such person in connection with the affairs of the Union or of a State, his salary in respect of service as Member shall be reduced to the extent of that pension. (3) The salary and allowances and other terms and conditions of service of Chairperson or a Member of the Tribunal shall not be varied to his disadvantage after appointment.
