The Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1988 Complete Act

.....three annual good conduct remission; provided that nothing herein shall apply to a prisoner who- (i) is a habitual offender as defined in sub-section (3) of section 2 of Punjab Habitual Offenders (Control and Reform) Act, 1952; or (ii) has been convicted of dacoit or such other offence as the State Government may, by notification, specify. (2) The period of furlough for which a prisoner is eligible under sub-section (1) shall be three weeks during the first year of his release and two weeks during each successive year thereafter. (3) Subject to the provisions of clause (d) of sub-section (3) of section 8, the period of release referred to in sub-section (1) shall count towards the total period of the sentence undergone by a prisoner. Exclusion of certain days in computing period under sections 3 and 4. 5. For the purpose of calculating the period of temporary release of a prisoner under sections 3 and 4, the dates of departure from and arrival at the prison shall be excluded. Title: Rights of Unpaid Seller Against the Goods

Section 54 - Sale not generally rescinded by lien or stoppage in transit (1) Subject to the provisions of this section, a contract of sale is not rescinded by the mere exercise by an unpaid seller of his right of lien or stoppage in transit. (2) Where the goods are of a perishable nature, or where the unpaid seller who has exercised his right of lien or stoppage in transit gives notice to the buyer of his intention to re-sell, the unpaid seller may, if the buyer does not within a reasonable time pay or tender the price, re-sell the goods within a reasonable time and recover from the original buyer damages for any loss occasioned by his breach of contract, but the buyer shall not be entitled to any profit which may occur on the re-sale. If such notice is not given, the unpaid seller shall not be entitled to recover such damages and the buyer shall be entitled to the profit, if any, on the re-sale. Title: Sale Not Generally Rescinded by Lien or Stoppage in Transit

(1) Subject to the provisions of this section, a contract of sale is not rescinded by the mere exercise by an unpaid seller of his right of lien or stoppage in transit. (2) Where the goods are of a perishable nature, or where the unpaid seller who has exercised his right of lien or stoppage in transit gives notice to the buyer of his intention to re-sell, the unpaid seller may, if the buyer does not within a reasonable time pay or tender the price, re-sell the goods within a reasonable time and recover from the original buyer damages for any loss occasioned by his breach of contract, but the buyer shall not be entitled to any profit which may occur on the re-sale. Securitydeposit (1) The assessing authority may, for good and sufficient reasons, demand from any dealer liable to pay tax under this Act, security for the proper payment of tax payable by him and on such demand such dealer shall furnish the same within seven days from the date of receipt of an order demanding security from the aforesaid authority.
