THE PUBLIC SECTOR IRON AND STEEL COMPANIES (RESTRUCTURING) AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS ACT, 1978 [Act, No.16 of 1978] [30th April, 1978] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for restructuring of the iron and steel companies in the public Sector so as to secure better management and grater efficiency in their working and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. THE RAJASTHAN POWER SECTOR REFORMS ACT, 1999 THE RAJASTHAN POWER SECTOR REFORMS ACT, 1999 (Act No. 23 of 1999) [Received the assent of the President of India on the 28th day of December, 1999] Preliminary Short title, extent and commencement.- This Act may be called the Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Act, 1999. It shall extend to the whole of the State of Rajasthan. It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, ppoint. Title: Application of Act to Establishments in Public Sector in Certain Cases

1 [(1)] If in any accounting year an establishment in public sector sells any goods produced or manufactured by it or renders any services, in competition with an establishment in private sector, and the income from such sale or services or both is not less than twenty per cent of the gross income of the establishment in public sector for that year, then, the provisions of this Act shall apply in relation to such establishment in public sector as they apply in relation to a like establishment in private sector. 2 [(2) Save as otherwise provided in sub-section (1), nothing in this Act shall apply to the employees employed by any establishment in public sector.] _______________________ 1. .....of the Government or the Board in respect of anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of the provisions of this Act, rules or regulations made or any directions issued thereunder. Power to make regulations. 15. .....Breed (Preservation and Development of Animal Husbandry section 2 of and Dairy Development Sector) Act, 2001 (hereinafter called the principal Act), Haryana Act 6 the following clause shall be inserted, namely :- of 2001. ˜(ff) "lean period" means the period commencing from Ist April and ending on 30th June of every year when milk production gets reduced due to climatic and biological reasons;'. 3. For sub-section (1) of section 6 of the principal Act, the following sub- Amendment of section shall be substituted, namely :- section 6 of Haryana Act 6 of 2001. "(1) For the purposes of this Act and subject to the rules made thereunder, a cess not exceeding fifteen paise per litre shall be imposed on the licensed capacity of a milk plant ; Provided that during the lean period the cess at the above rate shall be imposed on the seventy-five percent of the licensed capacity of a milk plant ; Provided further that no cess shall be levied on the day (s) when a milk plant remains closed for the reasons beyond the control of its management." 4.
