National Jute Board Act, 2006 Complete Act

.....which shall be laid, before the Parliament; (x) it is also proposed to effect consequential amendments to sections 3 and 4 of the Jute Manufactures Cess Act, 1983 to facilitate the allocation of the cess collected under this Act to the proposed Jute Board; (xi) it also provides the repeal of the Jute Manufactures Development Council Act, 1983. 4.The Bill seeks to achieve the above objects The President, having been informed of the subject matter of the proposed National Jute Board Bill, 2006, recommends under clause (1) of article 117 and clause (1) of article 274 of the Constitution the introduction of the Bill and under article 117(3), the consideration of the Bill by Lok Sabha. CHAPTER 1 : PRELIMINARY SECTION 1 : SECTION 2 : Definitions In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-- (a) "appointed day" means such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint for the purpose of (section 3) ; (b) "Board" means the National Jute Board constituted under (section 3) ; (c) "Chairperson" means the Chairperson of the Board; (d) "Council" means the Jute Manufactures Development Council established under (section 3 of the Jute.....

Title: Amendment of Section 35ac

In section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, after sub-section (2), the following Explanation shall be inserted with effect from the 1st day of April, 2006, namely:-- "Explanation.--The deduction, to which the assessee is entitled in respect of any sum paid to a public sector company or a local authority or to an association or institution for carrying put the eligible project or scheme referred to in this section applies, shall not be denied merely on the ground that subsequent to the payment of such sum by the assessee,-- (a) the approval granted to such association or institution has been withdrawn; or (b) the notification notifying the eligible project or scheme carried out by the public sector company or local authority or association or institution has been withdrawn.".

In section 80GGA of the Income-tax Act, in sub-section (2), with effect from the 1st day of April, 2006 -- (a) after clause (aa), the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely:-- "Explanation.--The deduction, to which the assessee is entitled in respect of any sum paid to a scientific research association, University, college or other institution to which clause (a) or clause (aa) applies, shall not be denied merely on the ground that, subsequent to the payment of such sum by the assessee, the approval to such association, University, college or other institution referred to in clause (a) or clause (aa), as the case may be, has been withdrawn;"; (b) after clause (b), the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely:-- "Explanation.--The deduction, to which the assessee is entitled in respect of any sum paid to an association or institution for carrying out the programme of rural development to which this clause applies, shall not be denied merely on the ground that subsequent to the payment of such sum by the assessee, the approval granted to such programme, or as the case may be, to the association or institution has been withdrawn."; (c) in clause (bb), the.....

Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 Complete Act

.....made by the Central Government under this Act; (zh) "regulations" means regulations made by the Board under this Act; (zi) "restrictive trade practice" means a trade practice which has, or may have, the effect of preventing, distorting or restricting competition in any manner and in particular,- (i) which tends to obstruct the flow of capital or resources into the stream of production, or (ii) which tends to bring about manipulation of prices, or conditions of delivery or to affect the flow of supplies in the market relating to petroleum, petroleum products or natural gas or services in such manner as to impose on the consumers unjustified costs or restrictions; (zj) "retail outlet" means filling station where one or more dispensing pumps have been provided for sale of motor spirit, high speed diesel, auto-liquefied petroleum gas or natural gas and includes distributorship for liquefied petroleum gas or dealership for superior kerosene oil or CNG stations; (zk) "retail service obligations" means obligations of dealers and distributors for maintaining supplies to consumers throughout the specified working hours and of specified quality, quantity and display of maximum.....

Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 Section 31

Title: Technical Member (Petroleum and Natural Gas)

(1) The Technical Member (Petroleum and Natural Gas) shall be appointed from the panel prepared by the Search Committee constituted under sub-section (2) of section 4. (2) A person shall not be qualified for appointment as a Technical Member (Petroleum and Natural Gas) of the Appellate Tribunal unless he-- (i) is, or has been, a Secretary for at least one year in the Ministry or Department of the Central Government having adequate experience in energy sector, especially in matters relating to Petroleum and Natural Gas sector; or (ii) is, or has been, a person of ability and standing, having adequate knowledge or experience in dealing with matters relating to exploration, production, transmission pipelines, marketing or regulation of petroleum, petroleum products or natural gas, economics, commerce, law or management.

Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 Section 14

Title: Scientific Committee

(1) The Food Authority shall constitute Scientific Committee which shall consist of the Chairpersons of the Scientific Panels and six independent scientific experts not belonging or affiliated to any of the Scientific Panels. (2) The Scientific Committee shall be responsible for providing the scientific opinions to the Food Authority, and shall have the powers, where necessary, of organising public hearings. (3) The Scientific Committee shall be responsible for the general co-ordination necessary to ensure consistency of the scientific opinion procedure and in particular with regard to the adoption of working procedures and harmonisation of working methods of the Scientific Panels. Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006 Section 16

Title: Child Marriage Prohibition Officers

.....as the State Government may direct; and (g) to discharge such other functions and duties as may be assigned to him by the State Government.
