Title: Such Salaries to Commence from Time of Taking Office, and to Be in Lieu of All Fees, Etc.

* * *1the said salaries shall commence from the time at which such persons as shall be appointed to the said office of bishop shall take upon them the execution of their respective offices; and such salaries shall be in lieu of all fees of office, perquisites, emoluments, or advantages whatsoever; and no fees of office, perquisites, emoluments, or advantages whatsoever shall be accepted, received, or taken by such bishop or either of them, in any manner or on any account or pretence whatsoever, other than the salaries aforesaid; and such bishops respectively shall be entitled to such salaries so long as they shall respectively exercise the functions of their several offices in the British territories aforesaid. ___________________________ 1. Sashastra Seema Bal Act 2007 Section 90

Title: Application of Act During Term of Sentence

State: Central

Year: 2007

(1) When a person subject to this Act is sentenced by a Force Court to imprisonment, this Act shall apply to him during the term of his sentence, though he is dismissed from the Force, or has otherwise ceased to be subject to this Act, and he may be kept, removed imprisoned and punished as if he continued to be subject to this Act. (2) When a person subject to this Act is sentenced by a Force Court to death, this Act shall apply to him till the sentence is carried out.

Title: Power to Name Authorities, Etc., for Exercising Statutory Functions

The Government of the State of Gujarat, as respects the transferred territory, may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify the authority, officer or person who, on or after the appointed day, shall be competent to exercise such functions exercisable under any law in force on that day as may be mentioned in that notification and such law shall have effect accordingly.

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1964 Section 90

.....shall be signed by the Water Supply Engineer or the Sanitary Engineer, as the case may be, or by the officer empowered to grant the same under this Act or the rules or regulations made thereunder and shall specify in addition to any other matter required to be specified under any other provision of this Act or any provision of any rule made thereunder, (a) the date of the grant thereof; (b) the purpose and the period (if any) for which it is granted; (c) restrictions or conditions, if any, subject to which it is granted; (d) the name and address of the person to whom it is granted; and (e) the fee, if any, paid for the licence or written permission. (2) Except as otherwise provided in this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder, for every such licence or written permission, a fee may be charged at such rate as may from time to time be fixed by the Board and such fee shall be payable by the person to whom the licence or written permission is granted. (3) Save as otherwise provided in this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder any licence or written permission granted under this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder may at any time be suspended.....

Education Act, 1983 Section 90

Title: Schedule of Employment to Be Maintained

State: Karnataka

(1) Every private educational institution shall maintain a Schedule of employees indicating therein the number of persons in its employment, the name and qualification of each employee, the grade of pay and such other particulars as may be prescribed. (2) Within three months from the date of commencement of this Act and within a like period after any alteration in such schedule is made, a private educational institution shall submit a copy of the schedule or alterations made therein, as the case may be, to the Director of the Department concerned or such other officer as may be notified for this purpose. (3) The Schedule of appointments for the time being in force shall be kept at the office of the private educational institution and shall during office hours, be open free of charge, to inspection by any employee of that private educational institution. The names and qualifications of the teaching staff shall be displayed in a prominent place in the institution.

Title: Power to Remove Difficulties

(1) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act in consequence of the transition to the said provisions of this Act from the provisions of the Acts in force immediately before the commencement of this Act, the Government may by Notification in the Official Gazette make such provisions as appear to it to be necessary or expedient for removing difficulty. (2) If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of the Act, otherwise than in relation to the transition from the provisions of the Acts in force before the commencement of this Act, the Government may, by notification, make such provisions, not inconsistent with the purposes of this Act, as appear to it to be necessary or expedient for removing the difficulty.
