Title: Reservation of Posts for Appointment

In making appointments the appointing authority shall reserve adequate number of posts for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and socially and educationally backward classes of citizens in the same manner and to the same extent as is applicable for the recruitment to posts in the State Civil Services.

Title: Power of Entry into Building, Etc., Where Infectious Disease Exists

The Secretary or any person authorised by the Grama Panchayat in this behalf may enter at any time after reasonable notice, any building or premises in which any infectious disease is reported or suspected to exist, for the purpose of inspecting such building or premises. No such inspection shall be made except between sunrise and sunset.

Karnataka Housing Board Act, 1962 Section 89

Title: Repeal and Savings

From the date of establishment of the Board under this Act,-- (a) the Mysore Housing Board Act, 1955 (Mysore Act XX of 1955); the Mysore Labour Housing Act, 1949 (Mysore Act XXVIII of 1949); the Hyderabad Housing Board Act, 1956 (Hyderabad Act XLVI of 1956); and the Bombay Housing Board Act, 1948 (Bombay Act LXIX of 1948) shall stand repealed; (b) the properties, rights and liabilities of the Mysore Housing Board established under the Mysore Housing Board Act, 1955, shall vest in the Board and the moneys at the credit of the Board's fund constituted under the said Act, and the moneys at the credit of the Mysore labour Housing Fund constituted under the Mysore Labour Housing Act, 1949, shall stand transferred to the Housing Board Fund constituted under this Act; and (c) subject to the provisions of the preceding clause, the provisions of sections 6 and 24 of the 1 [Karnataka] General Clauses Act, 1899 (1 [Karnataka] Act III of 1899), shall be applicable in respect of the repeal of the Acts specified in clause (a). _______________________________ 1. Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 Section 89

(1) Every Revenue Officer receiving payment of land revenue shall, at the time when such payment is received by him, give in the prescribed form a written receipt for the same. (2) Every superior holder who is entitled to receive direct from an inferiorholder any sum due on account of the rent or land revenue shall, at the time when such sum is received by him, give in the prescribed form to such inferior holder a written receipt for the same.

If in any proceeding the Industrial Court finds that any union was registered by reason of a mistake, misrepresentation or fraud, or that a registered union has contravened any of the provisions of this Act, the Industrial Court may direct that the registration of such union shall be cancelled.
