The fine, or any part thereof which remains unpaid, may be levied at any time within six years after me passing of the sentence, and if, under the sentence, the offender be liable to imprisonment for a longer period than six years, then at any time previous to the expiration of that period; and the death of the offender does not discharge from the liability any property which would, after his death, be legally liable for his debts.

Where a person lawfully does anything for another person, or delivers anything to him, not intending to do so gratuitously, and such other person enjoys the benefit thereof, the latter is bound to make compensation to the former in respect of, or to restore, the thing so done or delivered.1 Illustrations (a) A, a tradesman, leaves goods at B's house by mistake. B treats the goods as his own. He is bound to pay A for them. (b) A saves B's property from fire. A is not entitled to compensation from B, if the circumstances show that he intended to act gratuitously. _______________________ 1 . Any Minister of Religion licensed to solemnize marriages under this Act, who, without a notice in writing, or, when one of the parties to the marriage is a minor and the required consent of the parents or guardians to such marriage has not been obtained, within fourteen days after the receipt by him of notice of such marriage, knowingly and wilfully solemnizes a marriage under Part III, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, and shall also be liable to fine.

.....banks or channels of a canal or drainage-work contrary to rules made under this Act, a he has been desired to desist therefrom; (12) violates any rule made under this Act, for breach whereof a penalty may be incurred; shall be liable, on conviction before a Magistrate of such class as the State Government directs in this behalf, to a fine not exceeding fifty rupees, or to imprisonment not exceeding one month, or to both.(Penalty.) Whoever, without proper authority and voluntarily, does any of the acts following, that is to say: (1) damages, alters, enlarges or obstructs any canal or drainage-work ; (2) interferes with, increases or diminishes the supply of water in, or the flow of water from, through, over or under any canal or drainage-work ; (3) interferes with or alters the flow of water in any river or stream, so as to endanger, damage or render less useful any canal or drainage-work ; (4) being responsible for the maintenance of a water-course, or using a water-course, neglects to take proper precaution for the prevention of waste of the water thereof, or interferes with the authorised distribution of the water therefrom, or uses such water in an unauthorised.....

Title: Security to Be Furnished on Such Reference by Party Against Whom Contingent Judgment Given

When judgment is given under section 69 contingent upon the opinion of the High Court, the party against whom such judgment is given shall at once furnish security, to be approved by the Small Cause Court, for the costs of the reference to the High Court and for the amount of such judgment: Provided that no security for the amount of such judgment shall be required in any case in which the Judge who tried the case has ordered such amount to be paid into Court, and the same has been paid accordingly. If no such security given, party to be deemed to have submitted to judgment.- Unless such security as aforesaid is at once furnished, the party against whom such contingent judgment has been given shall be deemed to have submitted to the same.
