The Registrar of the Small Cause Court shall keep a book in which all sums received as costs upon distresses made under this Chapter, and all sums paid as remuneration to the said bailiffs, and all contingent charges incurred in respect of such distresses, shall be duly entered. He shall also enter in the said book all sums realised by sale of the property distrained and paid over to landlords under the provisions of this Chapter.

Title: Collective Fines

(1) Whenever any weapon or part of a weapon, or ammunition, forming part of the equipment of a unit of the Force, is lost or stolen, an officer not below rank of the Commandant of a battalion may, after making such inquiry as he thinks fit and subject to the rules and regulations, impose a collective fine upon the subordinate officer, under-officer and men of such unit, or upon so many of them as, in his judgment, should be held responsible for such loss or theft. (2) Such fine shall be assessed as a percentage on the pay of the individuals on whom it falls.

(1) When the court has to form an opinion upon any question of fact or a scientific issue, such court may appoint an independent scientific adviser to suggest it or to inquire into and report upon the matter to enable it to form the desired opinion. (2) The scientific adviser may be paid such remuneration or expenses as the court may fix.
