Title: Powers of a Coast Guard Court

Every Coast Guard Court shall have the power to try any person subject to this Act for any offence punishable thereunder and to pass any sentence authorised thereby.

Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 Section 67

Title: Port Trust Securities

Year: 1963

(1) The Board may, with the sanction of the Central Government, prescribe the form in which Port Trust securities shall be issued by it and the mode in which, and the conditions subject to which, they may be transferred. (2) The holder of any Port Trust security in any form may obtain in exchange therefor, upon such terms as the Board may from time to time determine a Port Trust security in any Other form prescribed by regulations. (3) The right to sue in respect of moneys secured by the Port Trust securities shall be exercisable by the holders thereof for the time being without preference in respect of priority of date.

Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 Section 67

Title: Penalty for Contravention of Provisions of This Act in Case of Import of Articles of Food to Be in Addition to Penalties Provided Under Any Other Act

(1) Any person who imports any article of food which is in contravention of the provisions of this Act, rules and regulations made thereunder, shall, in addition to any penalty to which he may be liable under the provisions of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992(22 of 1992) and the Customs Act, 1962(52 of 1962) be also liable under this Act and shall be proceeded against accordingly. (2) Any such article of food shall be destroyed or returned to the importer, if permitted by the competent authority under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992(22 of 1992) or the Customs Act, 1962(52 of 1962), or any other Act, as the case may be.

Indian Forest Act, 1927 Section 67

Title: Power to Try Offences Summarily

Government of India Act, 1858 [Repealed] Section 67

Title: Treaties to Be Binding on Her Majesty and Contracts Etc. of Company May Be Enforced Etc.

All Treaties made by the said Company shall be binding on Her Majesty, and all Contracts, Covenants, Liabilities, and Engagements of the said Company made, incurred, or entered into before the Commencement of this Act may be enforced by and against the Secretary of State in Council in like Manner and in the same Courts as they might have been by and against the said Company if this Act had not been passed.

Title: Service of Summons Outside Local Limits

When a Court desires that a summons issued by it shall be served at any place outside its local jurisdiction, it shall ordinarily send summons in duplicate to a Magistrate within whose local jurisdiction the person summoned resides, or is, to be there served.

Title: Infringement Proceedings by Registered Proprietor of Collective Mark

In a suit for infringement instituted by the registered proprietor of a collective mark as plaintiff the court shall take into account any loss suffered or likely to be suffered by authorised users and may give such directions as it thinks fit as to the extent to which the plaintiff shall hold the proceeds of any pecuniary remedy on behalf of such authorised users.

Title: Presentment for Payment of Promissory Note Payable by Instalments

A promissory note payable by instalments must be presented for payment on the third day after the date fixed for payment of each instalment; and nonpayment on such presentment has the same effect as non-payment of a note at maturity.

Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 Section 67

Title: National Character of Ship to Be Declared Before Clearance

(1) A customs collector shall not grant a clearance for any ship until the master of such ship has declared to that officer the name of the country to which he claims that she belongs, and that officer shall thereupon inscribe that name on the clearance. (2) If a ship attempts to proceed to sea without such clearance, she may be detained by any customs collector until the declaratioin is made.
