Disposal of lands or other property belonging to State Government under section 67 Subject to such rules as may be made in this behalf, the State Government, the Divisional Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, the Assistant Commissioner in--charge of a Taluk or Taluks and the Tahsildar, may dispose of land or other property belonging to the State Government under section 67 or otherwise, for purposes of agriculture, industry or any public utility and subject to the provisions of Chapter XII for the construction of buildings.] _______________________________ 1. In section 67 of the principal Act, for sub-section (4), the following sub-sections shall be substituted, namely :-- "(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), it shall be lawful for the Controller to keep the register of patents or any part thereof in computer floppies, diskettes or any other electronic form subject to such safeguards as may be prescribed. (5) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 (1 of 1872), a copy of, or extracts from, the register of patents, certified to be a true copy under the hand of the Controller or any officer duly authorised by the Controller in this behalf shall, in all legal proceedings, be admissible in evidence. (6) In the event the register is kept wholly or partly in computer floppies, diskettes or any other electronic form,-- (a) reference in this Act to an entry in the register shall be deemed to include reference to a record of particulars kept in computer floppies, diskettes or any other electronic form and comprising the register or part of the register; (b) references in this Act to particulars being registered or entered in the register shall be deemed to include references to the.....

Section 70 - Provisions applicable to permissions and licences under sections 66, 67, 68 and 69 (1) A permission shall be granted under section 66 and a licence under sections 67,68 and 69 shall be granted or renewed, only on payment in advance of such fee as may be prescribed. (2) The Grama Panchayat may, for reasons to be recorded in writing refuse to grant the permission under section 66 or to grant or renew a licence, or suspend or cancel a licence granted or renewed , under sections 67, 68, and 69 for default of any of the conditions subject to which the licence was granted. (3) Any person aggrieved by the refusal to grant permission under section 66 or to grant or renew licence, or by the suspension or cancellation of a licence under sub-section (2) may, within thirty days of the date of the communication of the order, appeal to the1[Executive officer] and his decision on such appeal shall be final. Section 67 - Power to search suspected persons in a street When in a street or a place of public resort a person has possession or apparent possession of any article which a Police Officer in good faith suspects to be stolen property, such Police Officer may search or examine the same and may require an account thereof, and, should the account given by the possessor be manifestly false or suspicious, may seize such article and report the facts to a1[Judicial Magistrate], who shall thereon proceed according to sections 523 and 525 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, or any other law in force. _______________________________ 1.
