(3) The repeal by this Act of the Administration of Evacuee Property Ordinance 1949, or the Hyderabad Administration of Evacuee Property Regulation or of any corresponding law shall not affect the previous operation of that Ordinance, Regulation or corresponding law and subject thereto, anything done or any action taken in the exercise of any power conferred by or under that Ordinance, Regulation or corresponding law, shall be deemed to have been done or taken in the exercise of the powers conferred by or under this Act as if this Act were in force on the day on which such thing was done or action was taken.] ______________________________ 1. Sources of certain information not to be disclosed The Governor in his discretion shall make rules for securing that no records or information relating to the sources from which information has been or may be obtained with respect to the operations of persons committing, or conspiring, preparing, or attempting to commit, such crimes as are mentioned in the last preceding section, shall be disclosed or given-- (a) by any member of any police force in the Province to another member of that force except in accordance with directions of the Inspector General of Police or Commissioner of Police, as the case may be, or to any other person except in accordance with directions of the Governor in his discretion; or (b) by any other person in the service of the Crown in the Province to any person except in accordance with directions of the Governor in his discretion. _________________________ 1. Every Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Councillor, officer or employees of a Nagar Panchayat or of a Council including a Government servant whose services are lent to the Nagar Panchayat or to the Council, shall be liable for the loss, waste or misapplication of any money or other property owned by or vested in the Nagar Panchayat or the Council, if such loss, waste or misapplication is a direct consequence of any illegal act, omission, neglect or misconduct on his part; and a suit for compensation may be instituted against him in any Court of competent jurisdiction by the Nagar Panchayat or by the Council, as the case may be.

Title: Rights of Owner Against Persons Possessing or Dealing with Infringing Copies

All infringing copies of any work in which copyright subsists, and all plates used or intended to be used for the production of such infringing copies, shall be deemed to be the property of the owner of the copyright, who accordingly may take proceedings for the recovery of possession thereof or in respect of the conversion thereof: Provided that the owner of the copyright shall not be entitled to any remedy in respect of the conversion of any infringing copies if the opponent proves-- (a) that he was not aware and had no reasonable ground to believe that copyright subsisted in the work of which such copies are alleged to be infringing copies; or (b) that he had reasonable grounds for believing that such copies or plates do not involve infringement of the copyright in any work.

Title: Vexatious Search

An Inspector or any other officer exercising powers under this Act or any rule or order made thereunder who knows that there are no reasonable grounds for so doing, and yet (a) searches, or causes to be searched, any house, conveyance or place, or (b) searches any person, or (c) seizes any weight, measure or other movable property, shall, for every such offence, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees, or with both.

Title: Laying of Rules and Regulations

Every rule and every regulation made under this Act shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before each House of Parliament, while it is in session, for a total period of thirty days which may be comprised in one session or in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid, both Houses agree in making any modification in the rule or regulation or both Houses agree that the rule or regulation should not be made, the rate or regulation shall, thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so, however, that any such modification or annulment shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under that rule or regulation.
