Title: Rent Bona Fide Paid to Holder Under Defective Title

No person shall be chargeable with any rents or profits of any immoveable property, which he has in good faith paid or delivered to any person of whom he in good faith held such property, notwithstanding it may afterwards appear that the person to whom such payment or delivery was made had no right to receive such rents or profits. Illustration A lets a field to B at a rent of Rs. 50, and then transfers the field to C. B, having no notice of the transfer, in good faith pays the rent to A. B, is not chargeable with the rent so paid.

Act 43 of 1961 not to apply to Small Industries Bank.--Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Income-tax Act, 1961 or in any other enactment for the time being in force relating to income-tax or any other tax on income, profits or gains, the Small Industries Bank shall not be liable to pay income-tax or any other tax in respect of-- (a) any income, profits or gains accruing or arising to the Small Industries Development Assistance Fund or any amount received in that Fund; and (b) any income, profits or gains derived or any amount received by the Small Industries Bank.

Title: Settlement of Wifes Property for Benefit of Children

In any case in which the Court shall pronounce a decree of divorce or judicial separation for adultery of the wife, if it shall be made to appear to the Court that the wife is entitled to any property be either in possession or reversion, the Court may order such settlement as it shall think reasonable to be made of any part of such property, not exceeding one-half thereof.for the benefit of the children of the marriage or any of them.

Title: Disallowance and Reduction of Entries in Schedule

(1) Where the receiver thinks that a debt has been improperly entered in the schedule, the Court may, on the application of the receiver and after notice to the creditor, and such inquiry (if any) as the Court thinks necessary, expunge such entry or reduce the amount of the debt. (2) The Court may also, after like inquiry, expunge an entry or reduce the amount of a debt upon the application of a creditor where no receiver has been appointed, or where the receiver declines to interfere in the matter or, in the case of a composition or scheme, upon the application of the debtor.

The Central Government shall- (a) Constitute a body of persons, in the manner prescribed for the preparation of a list of persons eligible for appointment to the posts of Chief Executives and other managerial posts in national co-operative societies the maximum pay scale of which exceeds such amount as may be prescribed; (b) Make rules for regulating the recruitment, remuneration, allowances and other conditions of service of officers and other employees of national co-operative societies.

Title: Irregularity in Connection with Arrest or Confinement

Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, that is to say,-- (a) unnecessarily detains a person in arrest or confinement without bringing him to trial, or fails to bring his case before the proper authority for investigation; or (b) having committed a person to air force custody fails without reasonable cause to deliver at the time of such committal, or as soon as practicable, and in any case within forty-eight hours thereafter, to the officer or other person into whose custody the person arrested is committed, an account in writing signed by himself of the offence with which the person so committed is charged; shall, on conviction by court-martial, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.
