State Bank of India Act, 1955 Section 46

Title: Indemnity of Directors and Members of Local Boards and Local Committees, Etc.

(1) Every director and every member of a Local Board or a Local Committee shall be indemnified by the State Bank against all losses and expenses incurred by him in or in relation to the discharge of his duties except such as are caused by his own wilful act or default. (2) Neither a director nor a member of a Local Board or a Local Committee shall be responsible for any loss or expense caused to the State Bank by the insufficiency or deficiency of the value of or title to any property or security acquired or taken on behalf of the State Bank or by the insolvency or wrongful act of any customer or debtor or by anything done in or in relation to the execution of the duties of his office or otherwise than for his wilful act or default.

Title: Stock Standing in the Name of the Company Transferred

Such Government Stock or Stocks as at the Time of the Commencement of this Act may be standing in the Name of the East India Company in the Books of the said Governor and Company shall be transferred by the Chief Cashier or the Chief Account ant of the said Governor and Company to the proper Account or Accounts to be raised as aforesaid.

Tripura University Act 2006 Section 46

Title: Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations to Be Published in the Official Gazette and to Be Laid Before Parliament

.....Ordinance or Regulation made under this Act shall be published in the Official Gazette. (2) Every Statute, Ordinance or Regulation made under this Act shall be laid, as soon as may be alter it is made, before each House of Parliament, while it is in session, for a total period of thirty days which may be comprised in one session or in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid, both Houses agree in making any modification in the Statute, Ordinance or Regulation or both Houses agree that the Statute, Ordinance or Regulation should not be made, the Statute, Ordinance or Regulation shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so, however, that any such modification or annulment shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under that Statute, Ordinance or Regulation. (3) The power to make Statutes, Ordinances or Regulations shall include the power to give retrospective effect, from a date not earlier than the date of commencement of this Act, to the Statutes, Ordinances or Regulations or any of them but.....

Airports Authority Act of India Act Section 46

Title: Repeal and Saving

On and from the appointed date,-- (i) the International Airports Authority Act, 1971 and the national Airports Authority Act, 1985 shall stand repealed; (ii) the International Airports Authority and the National Airports Authority constituted under the aforesaid Acts shall cease to exist. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken or purported to have been done or taken under the aforesaid Acts so repealed shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of his Act, be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.

Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 Section 46

Title: Reports by Collectors and Subordinate Courts

(1) The Court may call upon the Collector, or upon any Court subordinate to the Court, for a report on any matter arising in any proceeding under this Act, and treat the report as evidence. Title: Powers of Board to Call for Proceedings of Market Committees and to Pass Orders Thereon

Title: Liability in Respect of Actionable Wrong

Where, immediately before the appointed day, the Union in connection with the governance of the existing Union territory is subject to any liability in respect of an actionable wrong, other than breach of contract, thai liability shall,-- (a) if the cause of action arose wholly within the district of Goa of the existing Union territory, be a liability of the State of Goa; and (b) in any other case be initially a liability of the State of Goa but subject to such financial adjustments as may be agreed upon between the State of Goa and the Union, or in default of such agreement, as the Central Government may, by order, direct.
