Title: Power of Central Government to Issue Directions

(1) Without prejudice to the foregoing provisions of this Act, the Authority shall, in exercise of its powers or the performance of its functions under this Act, be bound by such directions on questions of policy, other than those relating to technical and administrative matters, as the Central Government may give, in writing to it, from time to time: Provided that the Authority shall, as far as practicable, be given an opportunity to express its views before any direction is given under this sub-section. (2) The decision of the Central Government, whether a question is one of policy or not, shall be final.

Title: Kinds of Share Capital

.....shall affect the rights of the preference shareholders who are entitled to participate in the proceeds of winding up before the commencement of this Act. Title: Appointment of Administrator

(1) Where the appropriate Government is satisfied that there is likely to be involuntary displacement of persons due to acquisition of land, then, the State Government shall, by notification, appoint in respect of that project, an officer not below the rank of Joint Collector or Additional Collector or Deputy Collector or equivalent official of Revenue Department to be the Administrator for Rehabilitation and Resettlement. (2) The Administrator shall, with a view to enable him to function efficiently and to meet the special time-frame, be provided with such powers, duties and responsibilities as may be prescribed by the appropriate Government and provided with office infrastructure and be assisted by such officers and employees who shall be subordinate to him as the appropriate Government may decide. (3) Subject to the superintendence, directions and control of the appropriate Government and the Commissioner for Rehabilitation and Resettlement, the formulation, execution and monitoring of the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme shall vest in the Administrator.

Title: Amendment of Section 115bba

In section 115BBA of the Income-tax Act, with effect from the 1st day of April, 2013,-- (a) in sub-section (1),-- (i) in clause (b), the word "; or" shall be inserted at the end; (ii) after clause (b), and before the words "the income-tax payable by the assessee", the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-- "(c) being an entertainer, who is not a citizen of India and is a non-resident, includes any income received or receivable from his performance in India,"; (iii) for the words, brackets and letters "clause (a) or clause (b)", wherever they occur, the words, brackets and letters "clause (a) or clause (b) or clause (c)" shall respectively be substituted; (iv) after the words 'the income-tax payable by the assessee shall be the aggregate of--", in clause (i), for the words "ten per cent.", the words "twenty per cent." shall be substituted; (b) in sub-section (2), in clause (a), for the words, brackets and letters "clause (a) or clause (b)", the words, brackets and letters "clause (a) or clause (b) or clause (c)" shall be substituted.

Title: Substitution of New Section for Sections 28aa and 28ab

.....anything contained in any judgment, decree, order or direction of any court, Appellate Tribunal or any authority or in any other provision of this Act or the rules made thereunder, the person, who is liable to pay duty in accordance with the provisions of section 28, shall, in addition to such duty, be liable to pay interest, if any, at the rate fixed under sub-section (2), whether such payment is made voluntarily or after determination of the duty under that section. (2) Interest at such rate not below ten per cent. and not exceeding thirty-six per cent. per annum, as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, fix, shall be paid by the person liable to pay duty in terms of section 28 and such interest shall be calculated from the first day of the month succeeding the month in which the duty ought to have been paid or from the date of such erroneous refund, as the case may be, up to the date of payment of such duty. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), no interest shall be payable where,-- (a) the duty becomes payable consequent to the issue of an order, instruction or direction by the Board under section 151A; and (b).....
