Title: Disposal of Case According to Decision of High Court

(1) When a question has been so referred, the High Court shall pass such order thereon as it thinks fit, and shall cause a copy of such order to be sent to the Court by which the reference was made, which shall dispose of the case conformably to the said order. (2) The High Court may direct by whom the costs of such reference shall be paid.

Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 Section 396

Title: Investigation of Certain Matters in Respect of Vessels Wrecked, Etc.

Whenever any vessel is wrecked, stranded or in distress as aforesaid, the receiver of wreck within the local limits of whose jurisdiction the vessel is wrecked, stranded or in distress may conduct an investigation into all or any of the following matters, that is to say (a) the name and description of the vessel; (b) the names of the master and of the owners; (c) the names of the owners of the cargo; (d) the ports from and to which the vessel was bound; (e) the occasion of the wrecking, stranding, or distress of the vessel; (f) the services rendered; and (g) such other matters or circumstances relating to the vessel, the cargo or the equipment, as the receiver thinks necessary.

Title: Prohibition Against Making of Vault or Grave in Any Place of Public Worship

State: Karnataka

Year: 1976

No person shall make a vault or grave, or cause any corpse to be buried within the walls or underneath any place of public worship: Provided that the Commissioner may, subject to the general or special orders of the Government, authorise the making of a vault or grave within the precincts of or underneath any place of public worship and the burial of priests or religious ministers in such vault or grave, or in an existing vault or grave.

Title: Power of Central Governmentto Provide for Amalgamation of Companies in Public Interest

Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) Section 396

Title: Dacoity with Murder

If any one of five or more persons, who are conjointly committing dacoity, commits murder in so committing dacoity, every one of those persons shall be punished with death, or1[imprisonment for life], or rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine. ________________________ 1. Companies Act, 2013, Section 396

Title: Registration Offices

(1) For the purposes of exercising such powers and discharging such functions as are conferred on the Central Government by or under this Act or under the rules made thereunder and for the purposes of registration of companies under this Act, the Central Government shall, by notification, establish such number of offices at such places as it thinks fit, specifying their jurisdiction. (2) The Central Government may appoint such Registrars, Additional, Joint, Deputy and Assistant Registrars as it considers necessary for the registration of companies and discharge of various functions under this Act, and the powers and duties that may be exercisable by such officers shall be such as may be prescribed. (3) The terms and conditions of service, including the salaries payable to persons appointed under sub-section (2), shall be such as may be prescribed. (4) The Central Government may direct a seal or seals to be prepared for the authentication of documents required for, or connected with, the registration of companies.

New Delhi Municipal Council Act 1994 Section 396

Title: Power to Provide for Enforcement of Direction Under Section 395

If, within the period fixed by a direction made under section 395, any action the taking of which has been directed under that section has not been duly taken, the Central Government may make arrangements for the taking of such action and may direct that all expenses connected therewith shall be defrayed out of the New Delhi Municipal Fund.
