Title: Offences Triable by Special Courts

.....to an accused person in such case who has been forwarded to him under that section; (d) a Special Court may, upon perusal of police report of the facts constituting an offence under this Act or upon complaint made by an officer of the Central Government or a State Government authorised in his behalf, take cognizance of that offence without the accused being committed to it for trial. (2) When trying an offence under this Act, a Special Court may also try an offence other than an offence under this Act with which the accused may, under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), be charged at the same trial. Declaration and management of a conservation reserve (1) The State Government may, after having consultations with the local communities, declare any area owned by the Government, particularly the areas adjacent to National Parks and sanctuaries and those areas which link one protected area with another, as a conservation reserve for protecting landscapes, seascapes, flora and fauna and their habitat: Provided that where the conservation reserve includes any land owned by the Central Government, its prior concurrence shall be obtained before making such declaration. (2) The provisions of sub-section (2) of section 18, sub-sections (2), (3) and (4) of section 27, sections 30, 32 and clauses (b) and (c) of section 33 shall, as far as may be, apply in relation to a conservation reserve as they apply in relation to a sanctuary. ___________________________ 1. Title: Certain Offences to Be Tried Summarily

Certain provisions of the Act not toapply to certain banking companies (1) The provisions of sectionII, sub-section (1) of section 12, and sections 17, 18, 24 and 25 shall notapply to a banking company- (a) which, whether before or after thecommencement of the Banking Companies (Amendment) Act, 1959 (33 of 1959), hasbeen refused a licence under section 22, or prohibited from accepting freshdeposits by a compromise, arrangement or scheme sanctioned by a court or by anyorder made in any proceeding relating to such compromise, arrangement orscheme, or prohibited from accepting deposits by virtue of any alteration madein its memorandum; or (b) whose licence has beencancelled under section 22, whether before or after the commencement of theBanking Companies (Amendment) Act, 1959 (33 of 1959). (2) Where the Reserve Bank issatisfied that any such banking company as is referred to in sub-section (1)has repaid, or has made adequate provision for repaying all deposits accepted bythe banking company, either in full or to the maximum extent possible, theReserve Bank may, by notice published in the Official Gazette, notify that thebanking company has ceased to be a banking.....
