Title: Rules and Regulations to Be Laid Before Parliament

State: Central

Year: 1999

Every rule and every regulation made under this Act shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before each House of Parliament, while it is in session, for a total period of thirty days which may be comprised in one session or in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid, both Houses agree in making any modification in the rule or regulation or both Houses agree that the rule or regulation should not be made, the rule or regulation shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so, however, that any such modification or annulment shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under that rule or regulation.

Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973 [Repealed] Section 36

Title: Power to Stop and Search Conveyances

If any officer of Enforcement authorised in this behalf by the Central Government, by general or special order has reason to believe that any document which will be useful for, or relevant to, any investigation or proceeding under this Act is secreted in any aircraft or vehicle or on any animal in India or in any vessel in India or within the Indian customs waters, he may at any time stop any such vehicle or animal or vessel or, in the case of an aircraft, compel it to stop or land, and- (a) rummage and search any part of the aircraft, vehicle or vessel; (b) examine and search any goods in the aircraft, vehicle or vessel or on the animal; (c) seize any such document as is referred to above; (d) break open the lock of any door or package for exercising the powers conferred by clauses (a), (b) and (c), if the keys are withheld.

Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 Section 36

.....Officer shall be as follows, namely:-- (a) to issue or cancel licence of food business operators; (b) to prohibit the sale of any article of food which is in contravention of the provisions of this Act and rules and regulations made thereunder; (c) to receive report and samples of article of foods from Food Safety Officer under his jurisdiction and get them analysed; (d) to make recommendations to the Commissioner of Food Safety for sanction to launch prosecutions in case of contraventions punishable with imprisonment; (e) to sanction or launch prosecutions in cases of contraventions punishable with fine; (f) to maintain record of all inspections made by Food Safety Officers and action taken by them in the performance of their duties; (g) to get investigated any complaint which may be made in writing in respect of any contravention of the provisions of this Act and the rules and regulations made thereunder; (h) to investigate any complaint which may be made in writing against the Food Safety Officer; and (i) to perform such other duties as may be entrusted by the Commissioner of Food Safety.

Title: Nominations for Cadetships to Be Made by Secretary of State and Members of Council

Except as aforesaid, all Persons to be recommended for Military Cadetships shall be nominated by the Secretary of State and Members of Council, so that out of Seventeen Nominations the Secretary of State shall have Two and each Member of Council shall have One; but no Person so nominated shall be recommended unless the Nomination be approved of by the Secretary of State in Council.

Title: Right to Appeal

Every employee or student of the University or of an Institution maintained by the University or admitted to its privileges shall, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, have a right to appeal within such time as may be prescribed by the Statutes, to the Executive Council against the decision of any officer or authority of the University, and thereupon the Executive Council may confirm, modify or reverse the decision appealed against.

Delhi Agricultural Produce Marketing Regulation Act 1976 Section 36

Title: Appeal

(1) Any person aggrieved by an order (a) of the Market Committee, refusing to grant or renew a licence, or cancelling or suspending any licence, may appeal to the Board; (b) of the Director, refusing to grant or cancelling or suspending a licence, may appeal to the Administrator within thirty days from the date on which such order is communicated to him and in such manner as may be prescribed. (2) The Board or, as the case may be, the Administrator shall, on such appeal, make such order as it or he may deem just and proper: Provided that, before dismissing an appeal, the Board or, as the case may be, the Administrator shall give the appellant a reasonable opportunity of being heard, and record in writing the reasons for such dismissal.

Title: Filling of Casual Vacancies

All casual vacancies among the members (other than ex-officio members) of any authority or other body of the University shall be filled, as soon as conveniently may be, by the person or body who appointed, elected or co-opted the member whose place has become vacant and the person appointed, elected or co-opted to a casual vacancy shall be a member of such authority or body for the residue of the term for which the person whose place he fills would have been a member.
