Airports Authority Act of India Act Section 33

Title: Protection of Action Taken in Good Faith

State: Central

No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Authority or any member or any officer or other employee of the Authority 1[or the Chairperson of the Tribunal] for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act of any rule or regulation made thereunder or for any damage sustained by any aircraft or vehicle in consequences of any defect in any of the airports, civil enclaves, heliports, airstrips, aeronautical communication stations or other things belonging to or under the control of the Authority. _________________________ 1. (1) The Chairman of the Council shall ordinarily preside at the meetings of the Council: Provided that, in his absence, the Vice-Chairman of the Council shall preside at the meetings of the Council. (2) It shall be the duty of the Chairman of the Council to ensure that the decisions taken by the Council are implemented. (3) The Chairman shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as are assigned to him by this Act. (4) The Council shall meet once in every year and follow such procedure in its meetings as may be prescribed.

Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 Section 33

Title: Right of Guardian So Appointed or Declared to Apply to the Court for Opinion in Management of Property of Ward

(1) A guardian appointed or declared by the Court may apply by petition to the Court which appointed or declared him for its opinion, advice or direction on any present question respecting the management or administration of the property of his ward. (2) If the Court considers the question to be proper for summary disposal, it shall cause a copy of the petition to be served on, and the hearing thereof may be attended by, such of the persons, interested in the application as the Court thinks fit. (3) The guardian stating in good faith the facts in the petition and acting upon the opinion, advice or direction given by the Court shall be deemed, so far as regards his own responsibility, to have performed his duty as guardian in the subject- matter of the application.

North-eastern Hill University Act, 1973 Section 33

Title: Provident and Pension Funds

(1) The University shall constitute for the benefit of its employees such pension or provident fund or provide such insurance schemes as it may deem fit in such manner and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (1) Every director shall be indemnified by the Exim Bank against all losses and expenses incurred by him, in, or in relation to, the discharge of his duties, except such as are caused by his own willful act or default. (2) A director shall not be responsible for any other director or for any officer or other employees of the Exim Bank or for any loss or expenses resulting to the Exim Bank from the insufficiency or deficiency of the value of, or title to, any property or security acquired or taken on behalf of the Exim Bank or the insolvency or wrongful act of any debtor or any person under obligation to the Exim Bank or anything done in good faith in the execution of the duties of his office or in relation thereto.

Whenever any person holding an office in the service of Government who has been invested by the High Court or the State Government with any powers under this Code throughout any local area is appointed to an equal or higher office of the same nature, within a like local area under the same State Government, he shall, unless the High Court or the State Government, as the case may be, otherwise directs, or has otherwise directed, exercise the same powers in the local area in which he is so appointed.

Title: Constitution of the Railway Rates Tribunal
