Cantonments Act, 2006 Section 307

Title: Power of Inspection Etc.

(1) A Board or the Chief Executive Officer may, by general or special order, authorise any person-- (a) to inspect any drain, privy, latrine, urinal, cesspool, pipe, sewer or channel in or on any building or land in the cantonment, and, in his discretion, to cause, the ground to be opened for the purpose of preventing or removing any nuisance arising from the drain, privy, latrine, urinal, cesspool, pipe, sewer or channel, as the case may be; (b) to examine works under construction in the cantonment, to take levels or to remove, test, examine, replace or read any meter. (2) If, on such inspection, the opening of the ground is found to be necessary for the prevention or removal of a nuisance, the expenses thereby incurred shall be paid by the owner or occupier of the land or building, but if it is found that no nuisance exists or but for such opening would have arisen, the ground or portion of any building, drain or other work opened, injured or removed for the purpose of such inspection shall be filled in, reinstated, or made good, as the case may be by the Board or the Chief Executive Officer.

(1) No person shall fly any flag other than the National Flag or flag approved by the Government on the office of the Grama Panchayat or Taluk Panchayat or Zilla Panchayat. (2) Whoever contravenes sub-section (1) shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months or with fine which may extend to rupees five thousand or with both and in the case of continuing contravention with a further fine which may extend to rupees five hundred for each day during which the contravention continues.

New Delhi Municipal Council Act 1994 Section 307

.....the person hereinbefore mentioned, of each inmate of such premises and of the undertaker or other person causing the corpse of the deceased person to be disposed of, to give to the best of his knowledge and belief to the registrar of the area within which the death place information containing such particulars as may be prescribed by bye-laws made in this behalf. (3) If a birth or death occurs in the hospital, none of the persons mentioned in sub-section (1) or, as the case may be, in sub-section (2) shall be bound to give information required by that sub-section, but it shall be the duty of the medical officer in charge of the hospital within twenty-four hours after the birth or death, to send to the officer authorised by the Chairperson, a notice containing such particulars as may be prescribed by bye-laws made in this behalf.

Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 Section 307

Title: Execution of Work in Certain Cases

(1) The Deputy Commissioner may provide for the execution of any work, or the doing of any act, which a town municipal council is empowered to execute or do, and the immediate execution or doing of which is, in his opinion necessary in the interests of the general public and may direct that the expenses of executing the work or doing the act with a reasonable remuneration to the person appointed to execute or do it, shall be forthwith paid by the town municipal council. (2) If the expense and remuneration are not so paid, the Deputy Commissioner may make an order directing any person, who, for the time being, has custody of any moneys on behalf of the municipal council, to pay such expense and remuneration from such moneys as he may have in his hands or may from time to time receive, and such person shall be bound to obey such order. (3) The provisions of sub-section (2) of section 306 shall apply, so far asmay be, to any order under this section.

Title: Publication of Resolution to Wind Up Voluntarily

(1) Where a company has passed a resolution for voluntary winding up and a resolution under sub-section (3) of section 306 is passed, it shall within fourteen days of the passing of the resolution give notice of the resolution by advertisement in the Official Gazette and also in a newspaper which is in circulation in the district where the registered office or the principal office of the company is situate. (2) If a company contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1), the company and every officer of the company who is in default shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees for every day during which such default continues.

Indian Succession Act, 1925 Section 307

Title: Power of Executor or Administrator to Dispose of Property

.....for a term exceeding five years. (iii) A disposal of property by an executor or administrator in contravention of clause (i) or clause (ii), as the case may be, is voidable at the instance of any other person interested in the property. (3) Before any probate or letters of administration is or are granted in such a case, there shall be endorsed thereon or annexed thereto a copy of sub-section (1) and clauses (i) and (iii) of sub-section (2) or of sub-section (1) and clauses (ii) and (iii) of sub-section (2), as the case may be. (4) A probate or letters of administration shall not be rendered invalid by reason of the endorsement or annexure required by sub-section (3) not having been made thereon or attached thereto, nor shall the absence of such an endorsement or annexure authorise an executor or administrator to act otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of this section.
