British Statutes (Application to India) Repeal Act, 1960 Section 3

For the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that the repeal by this Act of any British statute shall not affect the operation of any such statute in relation to India and to persons and things in any way belonging to or connected with India in any country to which the India (Consequential Provision) Act, 1949 (12, 13 and 14 Geo VI, c.92), extends.

Nagaland University Act, 1989 Section 3

(1) There shall be established a University by the name of "Nagaland University". (2) The headquarters of the University shall be at Lumami and it may also establish campuses at such other places within its jurisdiction as it may deem fit. (3) The first Chancellor and the first Vice-Chancellor and the first members of the Court, the Executive Council, the Academic Council and the Planning Board and all persons who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of "Nagaland University". (4) The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and all sue and be sued by the said name.

Title: Exemption of the Governor and Council at Madras and the Governor General of Fort William from the Authority of the Court

Decrees and Orders Validating Act, 1936 Section 3

Title: Restoration of Proceedings

Where in any proceedings concluded on or after the 26th day of August, 1935, any such decree or order has been found to be invalid on such ground by any Court, such finding shall be void and of no effect; and the Court shall, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Indian Limitation Act, 1908, 9 of 1908.or any other law for the time being in force, on application made within six months from the Commencement of this Act by any person prejudicially affected by such finding, restore the proceedings at and continue the proceedings from the state reached immediately before the order embodying or based on such finding was made.

Indian Matrimonial Causes (War Marriages) Act, 1948 Section 3

The marriages to which this Act applies are marriages solemnized during the war period, where the husband was, at the time of the marriage, domiciled outside India, and the wife was immediately before the marriage, domiciled in India; Provided that this Act shall not apply to any marriage if, since the solemnization thereof, the parties thereto have resided together in the country in which the husband was domiciled at the time of the residence. Explanation.-- For the purposes of the above proviso the whole of the United States of America, the whole of the United Kingdom and the whole of any British possession1[****] shall each be treated as one country. _____________________________ 1. State of Nagaland Act, 1962 Section 3

Title: Formation of State of Nagaland

(1) As from the appointed day, there shall be formed a new State to be known as the State of Nagaland comprising the territories which immediately before that day were comprised in the Naga Hills-Tuensang Area and thereupon the said territories shall cease to form part of the State of Assam. (2) Without prejudice to the power of the State Government to alter the appointed day1, the name, extent or boundaries of any district, the State of Nagaland shall consist of three districts to be called the Kohima district, Mokochung district and Tuensang district, each comprising the areas respectively set out in the Schedule. ________________________ 1. That is, 1-12-1963.
