Marking of Heavy Packages Act, 1951 Section 3

Title: Obligation to Mark Weight on Heavy Packages

State: Central

Year: 1951

Every person consigning a heavy package for transport by sea or inland water-way from any place in India shall have marked thereon plainly durably and conspicuously the gross weight of the packages: Provided that in cases or circumstances specified by rules made under this Act where it is difficult to determine the correct weight, only the approximate weight maybe so marked.

Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878 Section 3

Title: Interpretation Clause Treasure

- In this Act" treasure " means anything of any value hidden in the soil, or ' in anything affixed thereto: " Collector ".- " Collector " means (1) any Revenue-officer in independent charge of a district, and (2) any officer appointed by the State Government to perform the functions of a Collector under this Act "Owner".- When any person is entitled, under any reservation in an instrument of transfer of any land or thing affixed thereto.to treasure in such land or thing, he shall, for the purposes of this Act, be deemed to be the owner of such land or thing.

Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Act, 1986 Section 3

Title: Inspectors

(1) The appropriate Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint such person as it thinks fit to be the Chief Inspector of Dock Safety and such persons as it thinks fit to be Inspectors subordinate to the Chief Inspector for the purposes of this Act at such ports as may be specified in the notification. (2) The Chief Inspector shall also exercise the powers of an Inspector. (3) The Chief Inspector and all Inspectors shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).

Andhra Pradesh and Madras (Alteration of Boundaries) Act, 1959 Section 3

Title: Prohibition of Advertisement of Certain Drugs for Treatment of Certain Diseases and Disorders

.....for sexual pleasurre; or (c) the correction of menstrual disorder in women; or 1[(d) the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of any disease, disorder or condition specified in the Schedule, or any other disease, disorder or condition (by whatsoever name called) which may be specified in the rules made under this Act : Provided that no such rule shall be made except-- (i) in respect of any disease, disorder or condition which requires timely treatment in consultation with a registered medical practitioner or for which there are normally no accepted remedies; and (ii) after consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board constituted under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 {23 of 1940), and if the Central Government considers necessary, with such other persons having special knowledge or practical experience in respect of Ayurvedic or Unani systems of medicines as that Government deems fit.] ________________________ 1.
