Tripura University Act 2006 Section 3

Title: Establishment of the University

State: Central

Year: 2006

(1) The Tripura University in the State of Tripura, established under the Tripura University Act, 1987, shall be established as a body corporate under this Act by the same name of "Tripura University". (2) The first Chancellor, the first Vice-Chancellor and the first members of the Court, the Executive Council and the Academic Council, and all persons who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, shall constitute the University. (3) The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name. (4) The headquarters of the University shall be at Agartala.

Aircraft Act, 1934 Section 3

Title: Power of Central Government to Exempt Certain Aircraft

The Central Government may; by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt from all or any of the provisions of this Act any aircraft or class of aircraft and any person or class of persons or may direct that such provisions shall apply to such aircraft or persons subject to such modifications as may be specified in the notification.

Air Corporations Act, 1953 [Repealed] Section 3

Title: Incorporation of the Corporations

(1) With effect from such date as the Central Government may, by notification1in the Official Gazette, appoint, there shall be established two Corporations to be known as "Indian Airlines" and "Air India International"2 (2) Each of the Corporations aforesaid shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire and hold property, and may by its name sue and be sued. _________________________ 1. The date appointed is 15-6-1953. 2. Re-named as 'Air India' w.e.f. 8-6-1962.

Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act, 1966 Section 3

Title: Penalty for Unlawful Possession of Railway Property

Year: 1966

Whoever is found, or is proved to have been, in possession of any railway property reasonably suspected of having been stolen or unlawful obtained shall, unless he proves that the railway property came into his possession lawfully, be punishable-- (a) for the first offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years, or with fine, or with both and in the absence of special and adequate reasons to be mentioned in the judgment of the Court, such imprisonment shall not be less than one year and such fine shall not be less than one thousand rupees; (b) for the second or a subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years and also with fine and in the absence of special and adequate reasons to be mentioned in the judgment of the Court, such imprisonment shall not be less than two years and such fine shall not be less than two thousand rupees.

Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Act 2006 Section 3

(1) The Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Ordinance, 2006 (Ord. 3 of 2006) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Ordinance, 2006, (Ord. 3 of 2006) anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act, as amended by this Act.

Mulki Rules (Repeal) Act, 1973 Section 3

Upon the commencement of this Act, the Mulki Rules as in force immediately before such commencement shall, notwithstanding anything contained in the Mulki Rules Act, 1972, (79 of 1972) cease to have effect and are hereby repealed: Provided that such repeal shall not affect the validity of any appointment previously made in accordance with those rules.
