Protection of action taken in good faith (1) No suit or other legal proceedings shall lie in any court against the Central Government or any member, officer or servant of the Commission for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act, or, any rule or bye-law made thereunder. (1) The Central Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify any Government company as the Central Transmission Utility. (2) The Functions of the Central Transmission Utility shall be to (a) undertake transmission of energy through inter-State transmission system; (b) discharge all functions of planning and co-ordination relating to inter-State transmission system with (i) State Transmission Utilities; (ii) Central Government; (iii) State Governments; (iv) generating companies; (v) Regional Electricity Boards; (vi) Authority; (vii) licensees; (viii) transmission licensees; (ix) any other person notified by the Central Government in this behalf. (3) The Central Transmission Utility shall exercise supervision and control over the inter-State transmission system.

Title: Appeal Against Order Passed Under Section 27

1 [27A.Appeal against order passed under section 27 (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in theCode of Criminal Procedure 1973 (2 of 1974), an appeal under section 27, bothon facts and on law, shall lie from-- (a) the order made by the District Forum to theState Commission; (b) the order made by the State Commission to theNational Commission; and (c) the order made by the National Commission tothe Supreme Court. (2) Except as aforesaid, no appeal shall lie to anycourt from any order of a District Forum or a State Commission or the NationalCommission. Title: Carrying out the Development and Allotment of Sites Etc.

.....and allotment of sites etc. (1) Subject to section 27, the Board shall form layout on the lands transferred to and vested in it under sub-section (2) or (3) of section 27 by realigning internal roads for easy and convenient movement of the slum dwellers and for improving the hygienic conditions. The Board may undertake all measures necessary for improvement clearance development or redevelopment of such land and erection of building thereon. (2) The Board may, for the purpose of forming layout under sub-section (1) demolish any structure or building in a slum area in accordance with section 10 and the persons affected by such demolition shall, as far as, may be accommodated within the same slum area and if it is not possible they shall be accommodated in the area available in the adjacent slum area or any other area meant for rehabilitation of slum dwellers. (3) Subject to such restrictions, conditions and limitations as may be prescribed, the Board, shall have power to lease, allot, sell or otherwise transfer the sites formed in the layout under sub-section(1) or dwelling unit of any building constructed in such layout. ___________________ 1. Title: Power of the Central Government to Direct Severance of Inter-connection Between Undertakings

.....anything contained in this Act or in any other law for the time being in force, the Commission may,- (i) upon receiving a complaint of facts from any trade association or from any consumer or a registered consumers' association, whether such consumer is a member of that consumers' association or not, or (ii) upon a reference made to it by the Central Government or a State Government, or (iii) upon its own knowledge or information, if it is of opinion that the continuance of inter-connection of an undertaking (hereafter in this section referred to as the principal undertaking) with any other undertaking is detrimental to- (a) the interests of the principal undertaking; or (b) the future development of the principal undertaking; or (c) the steady growth of the industry to which the principal undertaking pertains; or (d) the public interest, inquire] as to whether it is expedient in the public interest to make an order for the severance of such inter-connection on one or more of the grounds aforesaid, and the Commission may, after such hearing as it thinks fit, report to the Central Government its opinion thereon and shall, where it is of opinion that the.....
