No person shall by any means whatever persuade or attempt to persuade a seaman or apprentice to neglect or refuse to join or proceed to sea in or desert from his ship, or otherwise to absent himself from his duty.

New Delhi Municipal Council Act 1994 Section 203

Title: Disposal of Land Forming Site of Public Streets Permanently Closed

State: Central

Year: 1994

(1) The Chairperson shall, from time to time, cause all public streets vested in the Council to be levelled, metalled or paved, channelled, altered or repaired, and may widen, extend or otherwise improve any such street or cause the soil thereof to be raised, lowered or altered or may place and keep in repair fences and posts for the safety of foot passengers. Provided that no widening, extension or other improvement of a public street, the aggregate cost of which will exceed one lakh rupees, shall be undertaken by the Chairperson except with previous sanction of the Council. (2) With the previous sanction of the Council, the Chairperson may permanently close the whole or any part of a public street. Provided that before according such sanction the Council shall by notice, published in the manner specified by bye-laws give reasonable opportunity to the residents likely to be affected by such closure to make suggestions or objections with respect to such closure and shall consider all such suggestions or objections which may be made within one month from the date of publication of the said notice.

A Board may fix the charges to be made for the establishment by them or through their agency or communications from, and connections with, mains, or pipes for the supply of water, or gas, or for meters or other appliances for measuring the quantity, or testing the quantity thereof supplied, and may levy such charges accordingly.

Indian Succession Act, 1925 Section 203

Title: Inspection of Accounts and Right of Interested Party to Keep Duplicate

(1) The accounts of the curator shall be open to the inspection of all parties interested; and it shall be competent for any such interested party to appoint a separate person to keep a duplicate account of all receipts and payments by the curator. (2) If it is found that the accounts of the curator are in arrear, or that they are erroneous or incomplete, or if the curator does not produce them whenever he is ordered to do so by the District Judge, he shall be punishable with fine not exceeding one thousand rupees for every such default.

The tax, rate, fee or other amount payable to the Grama Panchayat may be collected by such agency as the Panchayat may appoint in this behalf, provided that it shall be lawful for a Grama panchayat to lease the right to levy and collect any tax, rates, fees or other amount that may be imposed under this Act, by public auction or by tender, subject to the rules prescribed and the amount due under such lease shall be recoverable in the manner provided in this chapter.

Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 Section 203

Title: Encroachment on Municipal Drains, Etc.

(1) Whoever, without the written consent of the municipal council first obtained, makes or causes to be made any drain into or out from any of the sewers or drains vested in the municipal council, shall be punished with fine which may extend to twenty-five rupees, and the municipal council may, by written notice, require such person to demolish, alter, re-make or otherwise deal with such drain as it may think fit. (2) No building shall be newly erected or rebuilt over any sewer, drain, culvert or gutter vested in the municipal council without the written consent of the municipal council, and the municipal council may, by written notice, require the person who may have erected or rebuilt such building to pull down or otherwise deal with the same as it may think fit.
