Title: Salary and Allowances of Chairperson and Members

The salaries and allowances payable to, and other terms and conditions of service of, the Chairperson and Members shall be such as may be prescribed by the State Government: Provided that neither the salary and allowances nor the other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson or a Member, as the case may be, shall be varied to his disadvantage after his appointment.

Title: Meetings of Board

(1) The Board shall meet at such time and place and observe such rules of procedure in regard to the transaction of business at its meetings (including the quorum at such meetings) as may be prescribed. (2) The chairperson or, if for any reason he is unable to attend a meeting of the Board, any member nominated by the chairperson in this behalf and in the absence of such nomination, any other member elected by the members present from amongst themselves at the meeting, shall preside at the meeting. (3) All questions which come up before any meeting of the Board shall be decided by a majority of votes of the members present and voting, and in the event of equality of voles, the chairperson, or in his absence, the person presiding, shall have a second or a casting vote.

Coast Guard Act, 1978 Section 20

Title: Disobedience to Superior Officer

State: Central

Year: 1978

(1) Any person subject to this Act who disobeys in such manner as to show a wilful defiance of authority any lawful command given personally by his superior officer in the execution of his office whether the same is given orally, or in writing or by signal or otherwise, shall, on conviction by a Coast Guard Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to fourteen years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. (2) Any person subject to this Act who disobeys any lawful command given by his superior officer, shall, on conviction by a Coast Guard Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.

Title: Sub-tenant to Become Tenant on Determination of Tenancy

Where the interest of a tenant of any premises is determined for any reason, any sub-tenant to whom the whole or any part of such premises has been lawfully sub-let whether before or after the commencement of this Act shall , subject to the provisions of this Act, be deemed to become the tenant of the landlord on the same terms and conditions on which he would have held from the tenant if the tenancy had continued.

Indian Maritime University Act 2008 Section 20

Title: The Court

(1) The constitution of the Court and the term of office of its members shall be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Court shall have the following powers and functions, namely:-- (a) to review, from time to time, the broad policies and programmes of the University and to suggest measures for the improvement and development of the University; (b) to consider and pass resolutions on the annual report and the annual accounts of the University and the audit report on such accounts; (c) to advise the Visitor in respect of any matter which may be referred to it for advice; and (d) to perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes.

Title: Annual Generalmeeting

(1) The Board shall in each year hold an annual general meeting of registered organisations, and not more than six months shall elapse between the date of one annual general meeting and that of the next. (2) A notice of the annual general meeting along with a statement of accounts and records of its activities during the preceding year shall be sent by the Board to every registered organisation at such time as may be determined by regulations. (3) The quorum for such meeting shall be such number of persons of the registered organisations as may be determined by regulations.

Sick Textile Undertakings( Nationalisation) Act, 1974 Section 20

Title: Claims to Be Made to the Commissioner

Year: 1974

Every person having a claim against the owner of a sick textile undertaking shall prefer such claim before the Commissioner within thirty days from the specified date : Provided that if the Commissioner is satisfied that the claimant was prevented by sufficient cause from preferring the claim within the said period of thirty days he may entertain the claim within a further period of thirty days but not thereafter.
