Title: Provisions Relating to Land and Other Properties

(1) Any land or other property transferred to the corporation by the Government shall not, unless, otherwise expressly provided in the instrument of transfer, belong by right of ownership to the corporation, but shall vest in it subject to the terms and conditions of the transfer and on the contravention of any of the said terms and conditions, the land or other property with all things attached thereto, including all fixtures and structures thereon, shall vest in the Government and it shall be lawful for the Government by order to resume possession thereof. (2) The Government may, by notification and after consultation with the corporation, take over for a public purpose any land or other property, movable or immovable, belonging to or vesting in the corporation on such terms as it may determine.

Title: Temporary Closure of Streets

The municipal council may, by an order in writing temporarily close any street to traffic for repair, or in order to carry out any work connected with drainage, water supply or lighting or any of the purposes of this Act: Provided that the municipal council shall with all reasonable speed cause the repair or work to be completed.

Title: Cancellation of Conditional Pardon, Release on Parole or Remission

(1) If any condition on which a person has been pardoned or released on parole or a punishment has been remitted is, in the opinion of the authority which granted the pardon, release or remission, not fulfilled, such authority may cancel the pardon, release or remission, and thereupon the sentence of, the Court shall be carried into effect as if such pardon, release or remission had not been granted. (2) A person whose sentence of transportation, imprisonment or detention is carried into effect under the provisions of sub-section (1), shall undergo only the unexpired portion of his sentence.

Title: Penalty for Travelling Without Pass or Ticket and for Dereliction of Duty on the Part of Conductor and Refusal to Ply Contract Carriage Etc.

.....wilfully or negligently,- (i) fails or refuses to accept the fare when tendered, or (ii) fails or refuses to supply a ticket, or (iii) "supplies an invalid ticket, or (iv) supplies a ticket of a lesser value, or (b) to check any pass or ticket, either wilfully or negligently fails or refuses to do so, he shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees. (3) If the holder of a permit or the driver of a contract carriage refuses, in contravention of the provisions of this Act or rules made thereunder, to ply the contract carriage or to carry the passengers, he shall,- (a) in the case of two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicles, be punishable with fine which may extend to fifty rupees; and (b) in any other case, be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees.

Title: Maintenance or Aiding of Hospitals or Dispensaries

(1) A Board may-- (a) provide and maintain either within or without the cantonment as many hospitals and dispensaries as it thinks fit; or (b) make, upon such terms as it thinks fit to impose, a grant-in-aid to any hospital or dispensary or veterinary hospital, whether within or without the cantonment, not maintained by it. (2) Every hospital or dispensary maintained or aided under sub-section (1) shall have attached to it a ward or wards for the treatment of persons suffering from infectious or contagious diseases. (3) The Medical Officer appointed by the Board shall be incharge of every Hospital and dispensary maintained or aided under this section and be responsible to the Health Officer for medical activities and to the Chief Executive Officer for over all administrative activities of the hospital.
