Title: Liability of Person for Whose Benefit Riot is Committed

Whenever a riot is committed forthe benefit or on behalf of any person who is the owner or occupier of anyland, respecting which such riot takes place or who claims any interest in suchland, or in the subject of any dispute which gave rise to the riot, or who hasaccepted or derived any benefit therefrom, such person shall be punishable withfine, if he or his agent or manager, having reason to believe that such riotwas likely to be committed or that the unlawful assembly by which such riot wascommitted was likely to be held, shall not respectively use all lawful means inhis or their power to prevent such assembly or riot from taking place, and forsuppressing and dispersing the same.

Title: Action on Report Submitted by Health Officer

Upon receipt of a report submitted by the Health Officer under section 154, the Executive Officer may, by notice in writing,-- (a) prohibit the supply of milk from the dairy until the notice has been withdrawn; or (b) prohibit the washerman from washing clothes or other articles in any such place or by any such process as aforesaid until the notice has been withdrawn or unless he uses such place in such manner, or washes by such process, as the Executive Officer may direct in the notice.

The receipt by the testator of a part of an entire thing specifically bequeathed shall operate as an ademption of the legacy to the extent of the sum so received, Illustration A bequeaths to B "the debt due to me by C'. The debt amounts to 10,000 rupees. C pays to A 5,000 rupees the one-half of the debt. The legacy is revoked by ademption, so far as regards the 5,000 rupees received by A.

Title: Exemption of Provincial Governments and Rulers of Federated States in Respect of Federal Taxation

.....nothing in this sub­section shall exempt that Government or Ruler from any Federal taxation in respect of that trade or business, or any operations connected therewith, or any income arising in connection therewith, or any property occupied for the purposes thereof; (b) nothing in this subsection shall exempt a Ruler from any Federal taxation in respect of any lands, buildings or income being his personal property or personal income. (2) The term of office of a member of the Council of Stales whose name is not required to be notified under section 71 shall begin on the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the declaration containing the name of such person as elected under section 67 or of the notification issued under sub-clause (a) of clause (1) of article 80 or under any other provision announcing the nomination of such person to the Council of States, as the case may be.
