Title: Penalty for Causing Water to Be Corrupted

If the said Company shall at any time cause or suffer to be brought, or to flow into any stream, reservoir, aqueduct, pond, or place for water, or into any drain communicating therewith, any washing or other substance produced in making or supplying Gas, or shall wilfully do any act connected with the making or supplying of Gas, whereby the water in any such stream, reservoir, aqueduct, pond, or place for water, shall be fouled, the said Company shall forfeit for every such offence a sum not exceeding one thousand rupees ; Daily penalty during the continuance of the offence.- and they shall forfeit an additional sum not exceeding five hundred rupees for each day during which such washing or other substance shall be brought or shall flow, or the act by which such water shall be fouled shall continue, after the expiration of twenty-four hours from the time when notice of the offence shall have been served on the said Company, by the person into whose water such washing or other substance shall be brought or shall flow, or whose water shall be fouled thereby ; and such penalties shall be paid to such last-mentioned person.

.....of such Scheme, to fix and declare what shall constitute and be the Establishment of the Secretary of State in Council, and what Salaries shall be paid to the Persons on the Establishment, and the Order of Her Majesty in Council shall be laid before both Houses of Parliament within Fourteen Days after the making; thereof, provided Parliament be then sitting, or otherwise within Fourteen Days after the next Meeting thereof; and after such Establishment has been formed by such Order in Council no addition of Persons shall be made to such Establishment, nor any Addition made to the Salaries authorized by such Order, except by a similar Order in Council, to be laid in like Manner before both Houses of Parliament.

(1) Whenever the Judge of the said Court thinks it necessary for obtaining evidence that any person should be arrested, he may issue a warrant for his arrest, and may, for the purpose of effecting the arrest, authorize any officer (subject, nevertheless, to any general or special instructions from the Central Government) to enter any vessel. (2) Any officer so authorized may, for the purpose of enforcing the entry, call to his aid any officers of Police or Customs, or any other persons, and may seize and detain the vessel for such time as is reasonably necessary to effect the arrest; and every such officer or other person shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of the Indian Penal Code, section 186 (3) No person shall be detained under this section for more than forty-eight hours.

For the purposes of this Act member of a society shall be a person who, having been admitted therein according to the rules and regulations thereof, shall have paid a subscription, or shall have signed the roll or list of members thereof, and shall not have resigned in accordance with such rules and regulations; Disqualified members.--but in all proceedings under this Act no person shall be entitled to vote or be counted as a member whose subscription at the lime shall have been in arrears for a period exceeding three months.
