The Chief Executive Officer may, by notice in writing, require the owner or lessee of any building or land in the cantonment to provide, in such manner as may be specified in the notice, any latrine, urinal, cesspool, dust-bin or other receptacle for filth, sewage, or rubbish, or any additional latrine, urinal, cesspool or other receptacle as aforesaid, which should, in his opinion, be provided for the building or land.

Title: Direction That Fund Be Employed in Particular Manner Following Absolute Bequest of Same to or for Benefit of Any Person

Where a fund is bequeathed absolutely to or for the benefit of any person, but the will contains a direction that it shall be applied or enjoyed in a particular manner, the legatee shall be entitled to receive the fund as if the will had contained no such direction. Illustration A sum of money is bequeathed towards purchasing a country residence for A, or to purchase an annuity for A or to place A in any business. A choses to receive the legacy in money. He is entitled to do so.

Title: Settlement of Village Boundaries by Agreement

When in any two or more adjoining villages one or more Panchayats are established under the1[Karnataka] Village Panchayats and Local Boards Act, 1959, and such Panchayat or Panchayats agree to any given line of boundary as the boundary common to their respective villages, the officer determining the boundary shall record such agreement and get it duly signed by the Chairman, Vice--Chairman or the members of the Panchayats concerned, as the case may be. The officer determining the boundary shall then mark off the boundary in the manner agreed upon. Title: Powers and Duties of Police Officer

(1) Any police officer may arrest any person committing in his view any offence against any provision of this Act or any rule or bye-law, if the name and address of such person be unknown to him and the person declines to give his name and address on demand, or gives a name and addreess the accuracy of which such officer has reason to doubt; and such person may be detained at the police station until his correct name and address has been ascertained. (2) It shall be the duty of every police officer to communicate as soon as may be, to the market committee any information which he receives regarding any attempt to commit or the commission of any offence against this Act or any rule or bye-law made thereunder, and to assist the Secretary or any officer or servant of the market committee reasonably demanding his aid in the exercise of his lawful authority.

.....138 - Election of Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha and term of office (1) The elected members of the Taluk Panchayat referred to in clause (i) of sub-section (1) of section 121 shall 1 [2 [within one month from the date of publication of names of members under section 133] after every general election of Members of Taluk Panchayat or on its reconstitution or establishment under this Act or immediately before the expiry of the term of office of Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha] choose two members from amongst them to be respectively Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha thereof, and so often as there is a casual vacancy in the office of Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha they shall choose another member from amongst them to be Adhyaksha or Upadhyaksha, as the case may be: Provided that no election shall be held if the vacancy is for a period of less than one month. (2) There shall be reserved by the 3 [Government], in the prescribed manner,- (a) such number of offices of Adhyaksha and Upadhyaksha of Taluk Panchayat in the State for the persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and the number of such offices bearing as nearly as may be the same proportion to the total number of.....
