Displaced Persons (Debts Adjustment) Act, 1951 Section 13

Title: Claims by Displaced Creditors Against Persons Who Are Not Displaced Debtors

Year: 1951

At any time within one year after the date on which this Act comes into force in any local area, any displaced creditor claiming a debt from any other person who is not a displaced person may make an application, in such form as may be prescribed, to the Tribunal within the local limits of whose jurisdiction he or the respondent or, if there are more respondents than one, any of such respondents, actually and voluntarily resides, or carries on business or personally works for gain, together with a statement of the debt owing to him with full particulars thereof.

Public Interest Disclosure (Protection of Informers) Act, 2002 Section 13

Title: Power to Passinterim Orders

CONVERTS' MARRIAGE DISSOLUTION ACT, 1866 Section 13

Title: First interrogation of respondent

State: Central

Year: 1866

The respondent, if such points be proved to the satisfaction of the Judge, shall thereupon be asked whether she or he refuses to cohabit with the petitioner, and, if so, what is the ground of such refusal. In ordinary cases such interrogation and every other interrogation prescribed by this Act shall be made by the Judge, but when the respondent is exempt by law from personal appearance in Court, or when the Judge shall, in his discretion, excuse the respondent from such appearance, the interrogations shall be made by Commissioners acting under such commission as hereinafter mentioned.

Public Gambling Act 1867 Section 13

Title: Gaming and Setting Birds and Animals to Fight in Public Streets

State: Central

Year: 1867

A police officer may apprehend without warrant any person found playing for money or other valuable thing with cards, dice, counters or other instruments of gaming, used in playing any game not being a game of mere skill in any public street, place or thoroughfare situated within the limits aforesaid or any person setting any birds or animals to fight in any public street, place or thoroughfare situated within the limits aforesaid or any person there present aiding and abetting such public fighting of birds and animals. Such person when apprehended shall be brought without delay before a Magistrate, and shall be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty rupees, or to imprisonment, either simple or rigorous, for any term not exceeding one calendar month; Distraction of instruments of gaming found in public street. and such police officer may seize all instruments of gaming found to such public place or on the person of those whom he shall so arrest, and the Magistrate may on conviction of the offender order such instruments to be forthwith destroyed.

Emigration Act, 1983 Section 13

Title: Renewal of Registration

A certificate may be renewed from time to time and the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder (including provisions as to fees) shall apply to the renewal of a certificate as they apply to the issue thereof: Provided that no certificate shall be renewed unless the application for its renewal is made not less than three months prior to the date on which the certificate, would, but for such renewal, cease to be valid: Provided further that the registering authority may entertain an application for the renewal of a certificate which has been made at any time during the period of three months prior to the date on which the certificate would, but for such renewal, cease to be valid if the applicant satisfies the registering authority that he had sufficient cause for not making such application before the said period.
