Title: Orders for Bringing This Act into Force

.....continued carrying on for the time being by the Board of services and activities carried on by the Corporation; and (e) so far as it appears necessary or expedient in connection with any of the matters aforesaid, for varying the powers or jurisdiction of any authority and empowering other authorities to exercise such jurisdiction as may be specified in such order. (2) The provisions made by any order under sub-section (1) shall, subject to the provisions of section 122, have effect as if enacted in this Act, and any such order may be made so as to be retrospective to any date not earlier than the date of commencement of this Chapter: Provided that no person shall be deemed to be guilty of an offence by reason of so much of any such order as makes any provisions thereof retrospective to any date before the making thereof.

Title: Registration of Mutations and Register of Disputed Cases

.....officer shall enter in the Register of Mutations every report made to him under sub-section (1) of section 128 or received by him under sub-section (2) or sub-section (4) of the said section. (2) Whenever a prescribed officer makes an entry in the Register of Mutations, he shall at the same time post up a complete copy of the entry in a conspicuous place in the chavadi and shall give written intimation to all persons appearing from the Record of Rights or Register of Mutations to be interested in the mutation, and to any other person whom he has reason to believe to be interested therein. (3) Should any objection to any entry made under sub-section (1) in the Register of Mutations be made either orally or in writing to the prescribed officer, it shall be the duty of the prescribed officer to enter the particulars of the objection in a Register of Disputed Cases. (4) The objections entered in the Register of Disputed Cases and such other objections as may be made during the enquiry shall be enquired into and disposed of by such officer and in such manner as may be prescribed. In section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975(51 of 1975) (hereinafter referred to as the Customs Tariff Act), in sub-section (2), in clause (ii), for the words, brackets and figure "but not including the duty referred to in sub-section (1)", the following shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted retrospectively on and from the 1st day of March, 2002, namely:-- "but does not include- (a) the special additional duty referred to in section 3A; (b) the safeguard duty referred to in sections 8B and 8C; (c) the countervailing duty referred to in section 9; (d) the anti-dumping duty referred to in section 9A; and (e) the duty referred to in sub-section (1)".

In the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) (hereinafter referred to as the Customs Tariff Act), after section 8B, the following section shall be inserted, namely:- '8C. Power of Central Government to impose transitional product specific safeguard duty on imports from the People's Republic of china.-- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 8B, if the Central Government, after conducting such enquiry as it deems fit, is satisfied that any article is imported into India, from the People's Republic of China, in such increased quantities and under such conditions so as to cause or threatening to cause market disruption to domestic industry, then, it may, by notification in the Official Gazette, impose a safeguard duty on that article: Provided that the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt such quantity of any article as it may specify in the notification, when imported from the People's Republic of China into India, from payment of the whole or part of the safeguard duty leviable thereon. (2) The Central Government may, pending the determination under sub-section (1), impose a provisional safeguard duty under this sub-section on.....
