Section 29 - Liability of trustee where beneficiary's interest is forfeited to Government When the beneficiary's interest is forfeited or awarded by legal adjudication1[to the Government), the trustee is bound to hold the trust-property to the extent of such interest for the benefit of such person in such manner as2[the State Government] may direct in this behalf. _______________________ 1. Title: Effect of failure to register agreement

Where a memorandum of any agreement the registration of which is required by section 28, is not sent to the Commissioner as required by that section, the employer shall be liable to pay the full amount of compensation which he is liable to pay under the provisions of this Act, and notwithstanding anything contained in the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4, shall not, unless the Commissioner otherwise directs, be entitled to deduct more than half of any amount paid to the 1[employee] by way of compensation whether under the agreement or otherwise. _________________________ 1. (1) No person shall act as a conductor of a stage carriage unless he holds an effective conductor's licence issued to him authorising him to act as such conductor; and no person shall employ or permit any person who is not so licensed to act as a conductor of a stage carriage. (2) A State Government may prescribe the conditions subject to which sub-section (1) shall not apply to a driver of a stage carriage performing the functions of a conductor or to a person employed to act as a conductor for a period not exceeding one month.
