Title : Power of State Government to Direct Vesting of the Estate in the Board

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in sections 3 and 4, the State Government shall direct by notification, that the Estate which was vested in the State Government under section 3, shall instead of continuing to vest in the State Government, vest in the Board with effect from the appointed day. (2) Where the right, title and interest in relation to the Estate vest in the Board under sub-section (1) the Board shall on and from the date of such vesting be deemed to have become the owner in relation to such Estate and all the rights and liabilities of the State Government under the Act on and from the date of such vesting be deemed to have become the rights and liabilities of the Board. (1) The amount specified in section 7 shall carry simple interest at the rate of four percent per annum for the period commencing on the appointed day and ending on the date on which payment of such amount is made by the State Government to the Commissioner. Every person having a claim with regard to any of the matters specified in Schedule II in relation to the Estate before the appointed day shall prefer such claim before the Commissioner within thirty days from the specified date: Provided that if the Commissioner is satisfied that the claimant was prevented by sufficient cause from preferring the claim within the said period of thirty days, he may entertain the claim within a further period of thirty days and not thereafter. Any amount paid to the Commissioner which remains undisbursed or unclaimed on the date immediately proceeding the date on which the office of the Commissioner is finally wound up, shall be transferred by the Commissioner, to the General Revenue Account of the State Government: but a claim to any amount so transferred may be preferred to the State Government by the person entitled to such payment and shall be dealt with as if such transfer had not been made and the order, if any, for payment of the claims being treated as an order for the refund of revenue. Title : Contract to Cease to Have Effect Unless Ratified by Board

(1) The State Government or the Board, as the case may be, shall be entitled to receive upto the appointed day to the exclusion of all other persons any money due in respect of the Estate which has vested in the State Government or the Board, and realised after the appointed day, notwithstanding that the realisation pertains to a period prior to the appointed day. Title : Priority of Claims

The claims made under section 15 shall have priorities in accordance with the following principles, namely:- (a) Category I shall have precedence over all other categories and Category II shall have precedence over category-III and so on; (b) the claims specified in each of the categories shall rank equally and be paid in full, but if the amount is insufficient to meet such claims in full, they shall abate in equal proportions and be paid accordingly; and (c) the question of discharging any liability with regard to a matter specified in a lower category shall arise only if surplus is left after meeting all the liabilities specified in the immediately higher category.
