SECTION 13: REPEAL OF MAH. ORD. III OF 1983 AND SAVING (1) The Maharashtra Forest Development (Tax on sale of forest-produce by Government or Forest Development Corporation) (Continuance) Ordinance, 1983, is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken (including any notification or order issued) under the said ordinance shall be deemed to have been done, taken or issued, as the case may be, under the corresponding provisions of this Act. (3) In order to secure proper and effective utilisation of the finances or resources or other assets of any educational institution in existence at the commencement of this Act it shall be competent for the State Government to invoke the provisions of sub-section (2) and ascertain such finances, resources and assets of any institution and after such ascertainment to give such directions to the Governing Council as they deem fit. (4) The provisions of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) relating to searches and seizure shall apply, so far as may be to searches and seizures under sub-section (2).

.....after he attains the age of sixty-five years. (4B) For the removal of doubt, it is hereby declared that, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or the terms of any contract of service or the term of office of any person who, on the date of commencement of the Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeths) (Amendment) Act, 1989, continues to hold the office of the Vice-Chancellor of any University:- (a) after having completed three years or more in such office or attained the age of sixty -five years ; or (b) completes three years in such office after the date of such commencement, shall cease to hold such office on the date of such commencement or, as the case may be, on the date of completion of three years in such office, and accordingly such person shall be deemed to have vacated such office on the respective such date and such office shall be deemed to be vacant on such date.
