Title : Parties to Appeals

For the purpose of any appeal under this Act, it shall be sufficient if only such persons as, in the opinion of the appellant, are necessary parties to the appeal for the purpose of determining the real questions in controversy between them, are impleaded as respondents to the appeal: Provided that where it appears to the High Court at the hearing that any person who was a party to the proceeding before the Tribunal from whose decree the appeal is preferred but who has not been made a party to the appeal is interested in the result of the appeal, the Court may adjourn the hearing to a future date to he fixed by the Court and direct that such person be made a respondent. Title : Disputed Debtor Not to Be Deemed Insolvent

Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force relating to insolvency, no displaced debtor shall be deemed to be insolvent or to have been adjudicated as such within the meaning of any law for the time being in force relating to insolvency by reason only of his applying to get his debts adjusted under this Act, and no petition in insolvency shall lie against a displaced debtor in respect of any debt incurred by him before the 15th day of August, 1947.
