THE KARNATAKA GROUND WATER (REGULATION FOR PROTECTION OF SOURCES OF DRINKING WATER) ACT, 1999 [Act, No. 44 of 2003]1 [17th October, 2003] PREAMBLE An Act to regulate the exploitation of ground water for the protection of public sources of drinking water and matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. Whereas it is expedient to regulate the exploitation of ground water for the protection of public sources of drinking water and to provide for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. Delhi Development Act, 1957 Complete Act

.....to do anything necessary or expedient for purposes of such development and for purposes incidental thereto: Provided that save as provided in this Act, nothing contained in this Act shall be construed as authorising the disregard by the Authority of any law for the time being in force. (7) "building of the warehouse class" means a building, the whole or a substantial part of which is used, or intended to be used, as a warehouse, factory, manufactory, brewery, or distillery, or for any similar purpose, which is neither a "domestic building" nor a "public building" as defined in this section, and includes a hut used or intended to be used for any of the purposes mentioned in this clause; (8) "bustee" means an area containing land not less than seven hundred square metres in area occupied by or for the purposes of any collection of huts or other structures used or intended to be used for human habitation.
