Title: Sewage and Rain Water Drains to Be Distinct

Whenever it is provided in this Chapter that steps shall or may be taken for the effectual drainage of any premises, it shall be competent to the Chairperson to require that there shall be one drain for filth and polluted water and an entirely distinct drain for rain water and unpolluted sub-soil water or both rain water and unpolluted sub-soil water, each emptying ninth separate municipal drains or other suitable places.

.....building or land in the cantonment with any water for any purpose, other than a domestic purpose, on such terms and conditions, consistent with this Act and the rules and bye-laws made thereunder, as may be agreed upon between the Chief Executive Officer and such owner, lessee or occupier. .....or as the case may be, the owner of the private drain and shall be recoverable from the owner or occupier as an arrear of charges payable under this Act.
