Central Industrial Security Force Act, 1968 Complete Act

SECTION 20: CERTAIN ACTS NOT TO APPLY TO MEMBERS OF THE FORCE - Nothing contained inthe Payment of Wages Act, 1936-, orthe Industrial Diusputes Act, 1947-, orthe Factories Act, 1948-, or any corresponding law relating to investigation and settlement of industrial disputes in force in a State shall apply to members of the Force. SECTION 21: PROTECTION OF ACTS OF OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF THE FORCE - (1) In any suit or proceeding against any51[x x x] member of the Force for any act done by him in the discharge of his duties, it shall be lawful for him to plead that such act was done by him under the orders of a competent authority. (2) Any such plea may be proved by the production of the order directing the act, and if it is so proved, the51[x x x] member of the Force shall thereupon be discharged from any liability in respect of the act so done by him, notwithstanding any defect in the jurisdiction of the authority which issued such order. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, any legal proceeding, whether civil or criminal, which may lawfully be brought against any51[x x x] member of the Force for anything done or intended.....

INSECTICIDES ACT, 1968 INSECTICIDES ACT, 1968 46 of 1968 2nd September, 1968 An Act to regulate the import, manufacture, sale, transport, distribution and use of insecticides with a view to prevent risk to human beings or animals, and for matters connected therewith Be it enacted by Parliament in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows: SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Insecticides Act, 1968. [11th June, 1968] An Act to extend the activities of the Museum at Poona under the name of the Mahatma Phule Vastu Sangrahalaya, Poona, and to make better provision for the management and maintenance thereof. Border Security Force Act, 1968 Chapter III

.....to this Act who deserts or attemps to desert the service shall, on conviction by a Security Force Court,-- (a) if he commits the offence when on active duty or when under order for active duty, be liable to suffer death or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned; and (b) if he commits the offence under any other circumstances, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. (2) Any person subject to this Act who knowingly harbours any such deserter shall, on conviction by a Security Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned. .....by the Central Government by notification in the Official Gazette, on all or any of the goods mentioned in the First Schedule to the Central Excises Act as amended by this Act or any subsequent Central Act, a regulatory duty of excise which shall not exceed 15 per cent. of the value of the goods as determined in accordance with the provisions of section 4 of the Central Excises Act : Provided that different dates and different rates may be specified by the Central Government for different kinds of goods. The Third Schedule (See section 30) Amendments in the Income-Tax Act 1 Section 2. In clause (42A), for "twelve months", at both places, substitute "twenty-four months". 2 Section 10. Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, that is to say,-- (a) when signing any document relating to pay, arms, ammunition, equipment, clothing, supplies or stores, or any property of the Government fraudulently leaves in blank any material part for which his signature is a voucher; or (b) refuses or by culpable neglect omits to make or send a report or return which it is his duty to make or send, shall, on conviction by a Security Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.

Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, that is to say,-- (a) makes a false accusation against any person subject to this Act, knowing or having reason to believe such accusation to be false; or (b) in making a complaint against any person subject to this Act makes any statement affecting the character of such person, knowing or having reason to believe such statement to be false, or knowingly and wilfully suppresses any material facts, shall, on conviction by a Security Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.
