The University."(1) With effect on and from the date of commencement of this Act, there shall be established a University by name "the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University" which shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract and shall by the said name sue and be sued. (2) The Chancellor, the Pro-Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor, and the members of the Management Council, Board of Management, Academic Council, other Authorities and Officers and Staff shall constitute the University.
