Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 2013, Section 27

Title: Registration of Central Recordkeeping Agency, Pension Fund, Point of Presence, Etc.

.....of a certificate of registration under this Act shall be in such form and manner and shall be accompanied by such fees as may be determined by regulations. (3) The Authority may, after considering the application and subject to such terms and conditions as it may specify, grant a certificate of registration as a central recordkeeping agency, point of presence, pension fund or such other intermediary, as the case may be. (4) The Authority may, by order, suspend or cancel a certificate of registration granted under sub-section (3) in such manner as may be determined by regulations: Provided that no order under this sub-section shall be made unless the person concerned has been given a reasonable opportunity of being heard.

Title: Marriages Solemnized By, or in the Presence Of, a Marriage Registrar

(1) The Authority may, by granting a certificate of registration under sub-section (3) of section 27, permit one or more persons to act as a point of presence for the purpose of receiving contributions and instructions, transmitting them to the Trustee Bank or the central recordkeeping agency, as the case may be, and paying out benefits to subscribers in accordance with the regulations made by the Authority from time to time in this regard. (2) A point of presence shall function in accordance with the terms of its certificate of registration and the regulations made under this Act.

.....believing that an examination of his person will afford evidence as to the commission of an offence, it shall be lawful for a registered medical practitioner, acting at the request of a police officer not below the rank of sub-inspector, and for any person acting in good faith in his aid and under his direction, to make such an examination of the person arrested as is reasonably necessary in order to ascertain the facts which may afford such evidence, and to use such force as is reasonably necessary for that purpose.
